A combustion heater generates heat by means of flame. The combustion heater is disposed adjacent to a refrigerant circuit filled with a combustible refrigerant. The combustion heater includes a combustion unit and a porous body. The combustion unit causes generation of flame. The porous body covers the combustion unit or a periphery of the combustion unit. The porous body at least partially covers both or one of a combustion space receiving combustible refrigerant leaking from the refrigerant circuit and a member in contact with the combustible refrigerant leaking from the refrigerant circuit. The porous body has a plurality of holes. The holes have a diameter dequal to or less than an extinction diameter d of the combustible refrigerant.

Combustion heater and air conditioning system

A refrigerant cycle apparatus, that circulates a flammable refrigerant in a refrigerant circuit, includes: a gas-side cutoff valve; a liquid-side cutoff valve, where the gas-side cutoff valve and the liquid-side cutoff valve are disposed on opposite sides of a first portion of the refrigerant circuit; a detection unit that detects refrigerant leakage from the first portion into a predetermined space; and a control unit that sets a cutoff state in the gas-side cutoff valve and the liquid-side cutoff valve when the detection unit detects the refrigerant leakage from the first portion into the predetermined space. The cutoff leakage rate at the gas-side cutoff valve is higher than the cutoff leakage rate at the liquid-side cutoff valve.

Refrigerant cycle apparatus

An air conditioner includes a use-side unit, a heat source-side unit, refrigerant connection pipes, cutoff valve provided in the refrigerant connection pipes, a refrigerant leakage detector, and a controller control. When the refrigerant leakage detector detects a refrigerant leakage, the controller performs pressure reduction control to lower the pressure of the refrigerant in the use-side unit, and thereafter puts the cutoff valves into a cutoff state.

Excessive specifications of a shutoff valve leads to increase in production cost. Refrigerant cycle apparatus having refrigerant leak detector used to control first and second shutoff valves

A usage-side air-conditioning apparatus has: a casing; a usage-side heat exchanger to cool or heat air inside the casing through the use of a refrigerant supplied from a heat-source-side air-conditioning apparatus; an air supply/exhaust mechanism to take room air and/or outdoor air in from an air-conditioned space or outside of the air-conditioned space, supply the air as supply air to the air-conditioned space, and exhaust the air as exhaust air out of the air-conditioned space; and a refrigerant leakage detection device to detect the refrigerant. When the refrigerant leakage detection device has detected the refrigerant, a refrigerant exhaust operation is performed by the air supply/exhaust mechanism to exhaust the refrigerant out of the air-conditioned space along with the air inside the casing.

Usage-side air-conditioning apparatus and air-conditioning apparatus provided with same

An air conditioning system has an air conditioner, which includes an outdoor unit and an indoor unit that configure a refrigerant circuit, and a controller, which controls the running of the air conditioner. The controller does not allow operation of the air conditioner to start in a case where a signal from a ventilation unit that includes a ventilation fan for ventilation and ventilates a target space or a refrigerant leak sensor that detects refrigerant leakage in the target space is not input to the controller. Because of this, even in a configuration where an air conditioner and a ventilation unit are installed independently of each other, operation of the air conditioner can be performed in a state in which there is reliably established a countermeasure such as the ventilation unit being operated when the refrigerant has leaked, and safety and security with respect to refrigerant leakage are reliably ensured.
