A compressor includes a first impeller that compresses a gas, a second impeller that further compresses the gas and that directs the gas to a downstream region that is located downstream of the second impeller, an interstage passage that directs the gas from the first impeller to the second impeller, and a bypass passage that recirculates the gas from the downstream region of the second impeller to the interstage passage. The bypass passage has a downstream end that opens to the interstage passage to direct the recirculated gas into the interstage passage.

An axial compressor includes: a casing having a tubular shape; variable stator vanes each having a vane shaft as a swing center, provided in the casing as stator vanes or inlet guide vanes, and arranged in a circumferential direction of the casing; rotor blades provided on a trailing edges side of the variable stator vanes in the casing and arranged in the circumferential direction of the casing; and a plasma actuator configured to generate a plasma annularly distributed in the circumferential direction of the casing, the plasma actuator being attached on an inner circumferential surface of the casing and intersects with a clearance between each variable stator vane and the inner circumferential surface of the casing.

Provided is a centrifugal compressor impeller that includes blades extending from an inlet to an outlet for a fluid. Each of the blades of the impeller includes, when a distribution of blade angles of a tip is viewed in a direction in which the tip extends from a tip inlet to a tip outlet for the tip, a constant blade angle region in which the blade angles are constant. A start point on the inlet side of the constant blade angle region is set at a position spaced apart from the tip inlet.
