Optical disc apparatus including a disc tray

A disk device includes a loader chassis, a traverse chassis, an optical pickup, a clamp mechanism and a cam mechanism. The cam mechanism pivots the traverse chassis with respect to the loader chassis between a loading position and an unloading position. The cam mechanism includes a follower, a cam plate, a guide member and a biasing member. The cam plate has a first restricting face that restricts a first direction movement of the follower with respect to the cam plate. The guide member has a second restricting face that restricts a second direction movement of the follower with respect to the guide member. The biasing member biases the follower towards both the first restricting face of the cam plate and the second restricting face of the guide member when the traverse chassis is located at the loading position.

Disk device

A disk device tray includes a first support component, a second support component and a step component. The first support component has a first support face with a first disk supporting area that supports an outer edge portion of a lower face of a first disk. The second support component has a second support face with a second disk supporting area that supports an outer edge portion of a lower face of a second disk. The step component has an inner side portion protruding upward with respect to an outer side portion. The inner side portion has a top face that is located lower than the second support face and a first inner peripheral face that extends upward from the first support face to the top face and restricts movement of the first disk in a radial direction of the first disk.

A disk device includes: a traverse chassis, one end of which is configured to be movable between a first position and a second position in a first direction; a cam member, formed with a cam groove configured to move in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and having a first end and a second end; a cam follower fitted with the cam groove so as to be movable between the first end and the second end in accordance with the movement of the cam member; a guide member, having a guide face configured to guide the cam follower in the first direction in cooperation with the cam member; and an urging member, configured to urge the cam follower against an inner wall of the cam groove and the guide face when the cam follower is placed in the first end.

The position of an optical pickup with respect to a disk is maintained accurately by preventing the free end portion of a cantilever movable member from being displaced lower than its proper position during the rotation of the disk even if the movable member is heavy to have improved vibration characteristics. There are provided a movable member, a chassis, a clamp mechanism, and a cam mechanism. The cam mechanismincludes a shift leverconnected to the free end portion of the movable membervia elastic bodiesand a cam main body. Positioning meansis composed of a protrusionon the shift lever, a stepped engaging surfacefor supporting the protrusionthereon, and a guide mechanism. Disk apparatus with improved optical pickup mount

A disk device of the present invention includes a first cam mechanism, a disk transfer mechanism, a second cam mechanism, a slider positioning mechanism and a positioning release mechanism. The slider positioning mechanism prevents movement of a slider in a reverse direction by engaging the slider when the slider is at a forward limit position. The positioning release mechanism operates the slider positioning mechanism so as to release an engagement of the slider positioning mechanism with the slider in conjunction with a return of an optical pickup.

When a motor rotates and a traverse mechanism integrated with a turntable pivots, a clamper holder moves downward together with the turntable whereby an end part of a first flange of the clamp holder abuts the bottom surface of a flange provided at an outer peripheral edge part at the upper end side of the clamper. The first flange is so arranged at the side opposite to the pivoting axis of the traverse mechanism as viewed from the center of the clamper. Further downward movement of the turntable separates the clamper from the turntable in such a manner as to leave the clamper in the clamper holder.

When a shift lever is fitted under a front part of a traverse mechanism, dampers have previously been fitted in a total of two, front-left and front-right, parts, called mount parts, of a mechanism chassis. A flat gear rotatably engages with a cylindrical sleeve protruding downward from the front-right mount part of the mechanism chassis. A feed gear in a rear part of transmission means rotatably engages with a boss protruding downward behind the sleeve, and is prevented from dropping off with a screw put from below. Now, the flat gear is, in a rear part thereof, supported by the feed gear, and is thereby prevented from dropping off.

Optical disk drive

A first groove, a second groove, and a prepared hole are formed in a traverse chassis. The first groove restricts the downward movement of a printed circuit board as a lower edge portion of the board is slidably pinched in the first groove. The second groove restricts the sliding movement in one direction of the board as an edge portion on one side of both lateral sides of the board whose lower edge portion is nipped in the first groove is fitted in the second groove. The prepared hole vertically penetrates a portion of the traverse chassis defining the first groove and is disposed adjacent to an edge portion on another side of the both lateral sides of the board whose edge portion on the one side is fitted in the second groove.

Structure for attaching printed circuit board on traverse chassis

In a disc apparatus, a tray gear has a boss protruding from one predetermined place in an inner circumference edge part thereof. During assembly of a tray into the apparatus cabinet, when the boss is located within a predetermined range of rotation of the tray gear, the boss meshes with a groove-forming rib provided on the tray and is thereby centered so that the tray gear and the rack mesh with each other always at the same teeth thereof.

Disc apparatus

There are provided a disc tray, a traverse unit, and a main chassis unit. The main chassis unit has a main chassis, which has, as observed when the traverse unit is in a stand-by position, a latch portion that engages with a projection portion of a sub rack and a stopper member that restricts the movement of the cam slider. The stopper member has a rotary shaft in the shape of a circular column, a lever portion which the projection portion makes contact, and a lock portion that makes contact with the cam slider and thereby restricts the sliding movement of the cam slider.

Optical disc apparatus

An optical pickup device is provided that permits, with an inexpensive construction, adjustment of the parallelism of a pair of guide rods for guiding an optical head relative to a recording surface of an optical disc. The guide rodsreceive, from twist coil springsfitted to a chassis, an elastic restoring force and are thereby loaded with a force that tends to move the guide rodsaway from the recording surface of the optical disc. At a position close to each of at least three of a total of four endsof the guide rodsan adjustment screwis fitted to the chassis by being screw-engaged into a nutso as to, when rotated, move close to and away from the recording surface of the optical disc. The position in which the guide rodsremain loaded with the force is determined as a result of the outer circumference of the guide rodsat the at least three endsthereof making contact with a flat inner end faceon the head portionof each of the adjustment screws
