An electronic pen is provided that is enhanced in strength such as not to be bent or broken even when made to be thinner (smaller in diametric size). A connection section holds a core body at one end thereof and holds a circuit board at the other end thereof. The circuit board is accommodated in a board protecting pipe, which is fitted to the connection section. The board protecting pipe is provided with a side opening, and an operation on an electronic part on the circuit board accommodated therein and a work on an electronic circuit formed on the circuit board can be performed through the side opening. An electronic pen main body section wherein the core body and the circuit board and the board protecting pipe are united together through the connection section is accommodated in a casing, to constitute the electronic pen.

Provided is an electronic pen including a rod-shaped core body having conductivity, a pen pressure transmitter which is connected to the core body and has conductivity and which, in operation, transmits a pen pressure applied to the core body to a pen pressure detector, and a signal transmitter which, in operation, generates a signal to be transmitted from the core body, in which the pen pressure transmitter includes a shock-absorbing mechanism which, in operation, when the pen pressure applied to the core body has a predetermined value or more, absorbs the pen pressure, and the signal from the signal transmitter, in operation, is supplied to the core body through the pen pressure transmitter and transmitted to an outside of the electronic pen through the core body.

An electronic pen includes an electrically conductive coil spring that expands and contracts, a core body having electrical conductivity, a writing pressure detector having a fitting part fitted to an end of the core body on a side of the core body that is opposite to a side of the core body that includes a pen tip, and an electronic circuit that includes an oscillating circuit. The electronic circuit, in operation, causes a detection result from the writing pressure detector to be included in a signal from the oscillating circuit. The core body penetrates through a center axis of the coil spring and is not biased by the coil spring, and a first end of the coil spring on a side of the coil spring adjacent to the pen tip is connected to the core body and a second end of the coil spring is connected to the electronic circuit.
