An electric brake control apparatus includes: a clamping force acquisition unit configured to acquire a clamping force generated by moving a piston toward a pad through rotation of a motor; a lower-limit clamping force acquisition unit configured to acquire a minimum value of the clamping force required to maintain a stopped state of the rotor; an upper-limit clamping force acquisition unit configured to acquire a maximum value of the clamping force to move the piston away from the pad through a power of a power supply while maintaining the stopped state of the rotor, based on a state of a power supply; and a clamping force control unit configured to control the motor such that the clamping force is confined between the minimum value and the maximum value.

Electric brake control apparatus

An electric brake caliper, including: a caliper main body; brake pads; and an actuator including a piston, an electric motor of a rotary type, and a motion converting mechanism, wherein the motion converting mechanism includes a hollow output sleeve configured to be linearly moved to move the piston disposed at one end of the output sleeve nearer to the one of the brake pads and an input shaft disposed in the output sleeve and configured to be rotated by the electric motor, the motion converting mechanism being configured to convert rotation of the input shaft into a linear movement of the output sleeve, wherein the electric motor includes a hollow driving rotary shaft, and wherein the motion converting mechanism is disposed in the driving rotary shaft, and the input shaft includes a flange whose outer circumferential end is in mesh with an inner circumferential portion of the driving rotary shaft.

Electric brake caliper

A disc brake device () includes: a disc rotor () rotatable around its rotation axis; a pair of brake pads () provided opposite to each other on both sides of the disc rotor in an axial direction along the rotation axis; and a pressing mechanism () able to press the brake pads against the disc rotor from both sides of the disc rotor with pistons () provided opposite to each other on both sides of the disc rotor in the axial direction. Each brake pad has a friction material () facing a corresponding friction face () of the disc rotor. The number of slits () provided in the friction material of one of the brake pads and not passing through any pressing portions pressed by the pistons is different from the number of slits provided in the friction material of the other one of the pair of brake pads and not passing through any pressing portions.

A brake device includes a hub (); a wheel (); a disc rotor () arranged between the hub () and the wheel (); a fixing portion () that fixes the hub (), the disc rotor (), and the wheel () together by being inserted into a hub through-hole (), a rotor through-hole (), and a wheel through-hole (); a hub-side connecting portion () that connects the hub () and the disc rotor () together with the hub () separated from the disc rotor (), by abutting against a hub-side end portion () of the disc rotor (), which defines the rotor through-hole (); and a wheel-side connecting portion () that connects the disc rotor () and the wheel () together with the disc rotor () separated from the wheel (), by abutting against a wheel-side end portion () of the disc rotor (), which defines the rotor through-hole ().

Brake device

A brake device includes a first member having holders, each of the holder configured to be in contact with a corresponding rolling body and hold the rolling body rotatably; a second member provided in contact with the rolling body and configured to rotate the rolling body in the holder according to a relative displacement with the first member; and a pressing mechanism configured to press the first member and the second member against each other. This makes it possible appropriately to set performance regardless of, for example, a projecting area of a surface of the first member, the surface being pressed by the second member.
