A molding apparatus of a glass material according to the present invention is characterized by containing means for holding a glass material and a molding die in contact with each other, means for heating the glass material and the molding die, and means for applying a voltage across the glass material and the molding die, in which press-molding is performed by electrostatic attraction acting between a surface of the glass material and a surface of the molding die. Further, a molded product of a glass material according to the present invention is characterized by including an alkali metal as a component, in which a concentration of the alkali metal is lowered in vicinity of a surface to be molded as compared with that of a glass base material.

There is provided a nanoimprint apparatus. The nanoimprint apparatus transfers a pattern formed on a surface of a mold to a transfer layer which is formed partially or entirely on a side surface of a substantially cylindrical or columnar substrate. The nanoimprint apparatus includes: a first jig which is in contact with the substrate; a second jig which rotatably supports the first jig; a press unit which is connected to the second jig to press the substrate on the moldthrough the first and second jigs; and a movable holding unit which holds the mold and moves the moldin a direction substantially perpendicular to a pressing force.

By using a disc type resonator, a sensor detects a substance having a mass and the mass with high sensitivity. Moreover, it is preferable to detect a change in vibrations of a substance attached or adsorbed to an area having a vibration amplitude equal to or larger than a constant value. This disc type resonator can be fabricated by the MEMS technique by using single-crystal or polycrystalline Si as a structural material. To improve the attachment efficiency of molecules and the like to be detected, irregularity or a groove is preferably provided on the surface of the disc type resonator.
