A multilayer insulated wire includes a conductor, an inner insulation layer, and an outer insulation layer. A gel fraction of the inner insulation layer defined below is not less than 80%. Multilayer insulated wire and multilayer insulated cable

A non-halogen flame-retardant insulated electric wire and a non-halogen flame-retardant cable that have excellent abrasion resistance, terminal processability, and handling ease in a high-temperature environment are provided. A non-halogen flame-retardant insulated electric wire includes a conductor and a crosslinked single-layer or multilayer insulating layer on an outer periphery of the conductor. A semiconductive resin composition is composed of a base polymer including an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with a vinyl acetate content of not lower than 60 percent by weight, two or more of fatty acid zinc, oleic acid bisamide and trimellitic acid ester, a peroxide-based crosslinking agent having a one hour half-life temperature of not lower than 130 degrees C., and a carbon having a DBP (dibutyl phthalate) adsorption capacity of not larger than 150 mg/g.

A crosslinkable halogen-free resin composition includes a polymer blend, and a metal hydroxide mixed in an amount of 120 to 200 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the polymer blend. The polymer blend includes a high-density polyethylene, 30 to 50 parts by mass of an ethylene-acrylic ester-maleic anhydride terpolymer, 5 to 20 parts by mass of a maleic anhydride modified ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer and 10 to 30 parts by mass of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.

Crosslinkable halogen-free resin composition, cross-linked insulated wire and cable

A crosslinkable halogen-free resin composition includes a polymer blend, and a metal hydroxide mixed in an amount of 120 to 200 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the polymer blend. The polymer blend includes a maleic anhydride-modified high-density polyethylene, 30 to 50 parts by mass of an ethylene-acrylic ester-maleic anhydride terpolymer, 5 to 20 parts by mass of a maleic anhydride modified ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer and 10 to 30 parts by mass of an ethylene-acrylic ester copolymer.

A halogen-free crosslinkable resin composition includes a base polymer including a high density polyethylene, 30 to 50 parts by mass of an ethylene-acrylic ester-maleic anhydride terpolymer, 5 to 20 parts by mass of an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer modified with maleic anhydride, and 10 to 30 parts by mass of an ethylene-acrylic ester copolymer, and a metal hydroxide of which content is 120 to 200 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the base polymer.

Halogen-free crosslinkable resin composition, cross-linked insulation wire and cable

A halogen-free flame-retardant resin composition includes a polyolefin-based resin, a phenolic antioxidant, a metal hydroxide, a pigment comprising one of titanium dioxide, monoazo yellow, benzimidazolone yellow, isoindolinone yellow, quinacridone red and perylene red, and an additive including an amide bond. The additive having the amide bond is added in an amount of 0.01 to 2 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the polyolefin-based resin.

Halogen-free flame-retardant resin composition, wire and cable

A power transmission cable includes a conductor, an inner semiconductive layer around the conductor, an electrically insulating layer around the inner semiconductive layer, an outer semiconductive layer around the electrically insulating layer, a shielding layer around the outer semiconductive layer, a binder tape layer around the shielding layer, and a sheath layer around the binder tape layer. The power transmission cable having an outer diameter of not smaller than 30 mm and not greater than 60 mm. The sheath layer having a thickness of not smaller than 2 mm and not greater than 4 mm, and is made of a non-halogen flame-retardant resin composition including a total of not lower than 100 parts and not higher than 180 parts of metal hydrate and silica per 100 parts of a base polymer, by mass, including an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with a vinyl acetate content of not lower than 50 wt. %.

Power transmission cable using non-halogen flame-retardant resin composition

A vinyl chloride resin composition includes 55 to 70 parts by mass of a plasticizer, 20 to 65 parts by mass of a metal hydrate and 0.3 to 3 parts by mass of a polytetrafluoroethylene per 100 parts by mass of a vinyl chloride resin. The polytetrafluoroethylene includes a fibril-forming polytetrafluoroethylene and a non-fibril-forming polytetrafluoroethylene.
