The environmental condition acquisition unit acquires an environmental condition including at least one of a temperature, humidity, wind, a picture, an image, and a sound. The tactile information acquisition unit acquires tactile information indicating a tactile sensation. The storage unit stores the environmental condition and the tactile information in association with each other.

A cluster classification device includes an environmental condition acquisition unit, a classification unit, and a storage unit. The environmental condition acquisition unit acquires an environmental condition in order to generate a specific environment in a target space. The classification unit generates a cluster from a plurality of environmental conditions acquired by the environmental condition acquisition unit, based on features of the environmental conditions. The storage unit stores the cluster and a feature of the cluster in association with each other. An environment generation device generates, using an environmental condition classified by the cluster classification device, a predetermined environment in the target space. An image processing method is disclosed for more effectively displaying movements of an object composed of a plurality of polygons. The image processing method displays a moving object by displacing backward given vertices of polygons composing the moving object, imparting an afterimage representation that makes the object look as if it leaves a trail in the direction opposite to their direction of movement. This allows for display of movements of the object in a more emphasized manner and display of the moving object with richer expression.

An image processing apparatus and an image processing method are proposed for the high speed generation of a model, such as a plane picture in animation, for which an outline is drawn. In the image processing apparatus, for using computer graphics to generate a polygon model in three-dimensional coordinate space, a first model, for which the normal vectors of polygons are directed outward, and a second model, in which the first model is included and for which the normal vectors of polygons are directed inward, are synthesized as a single model. The direction of the normal vector of a polygon is employed in the hidden surface removal process to determine whether the polygon should be displayed. That is, when the normal vector of a polygon includes an element extended in the direction of the viewpoint, the pertinent polygon is displayed; but when the normal vector of a polygon does not include an element extended in the direction opposite to that of the viewpoint, the pertinent polygon is not displayed. As a result, the second model is expressed as an outline of the first model.
