A color measurement method for measuring a color printed by a printing apparatus, a color adjustment method and a printing system are provided. The color measurement method includes: a color measuring step of measuring the color printed by the printing apparatus with an XYZ sensor, which is a colorimeter; and a correcting step of correcting an output value output by the XYZ sensor in the color measuring step. In the correcting step, the output value is corrected using: a correction table in which a correction amount is associated with each position of a color space in an Lab color system, the correction table being prepared in advance for a plurality of XYZ sensors, and a correction factor used to adjust the correction amount in the correction table, the correction factor being individually prepared with respect to the XYZ sensor used in the color measuring step.

Color measurement method, color adjustment method, and printing system

A printing apparatus is provided and includes: a head that ejects ink onto a medium; a driver that relatively moves the positions of the head and the medium; a cover member that is positioned on the downstream side from the head in the movement direction of the medium relative to the head, so as to cover at least a portion of the medium; an air blowing fan that sends a drying air flow for drying ink ejected on the medium, into a gap between the medium and the cover member; and a cord type heater that heats at least one of the drying air flow and a preliminary air which is the previous stage of the drying air flow. An air-flow-direction changing wall part is provided so as to change the flow direction of the preliminary air which is the previous stage of the drying air flow, at least once.

Printing apparatus

A printing apparatus is provided and includes cover members for covering at least a portion of a conveyance path for conveying a medium. The cover members are configured such that at least a portion of a part covering a conveyance path is able to expand and contract. Therefore, if necessary, it is possible to expand or contract the area of the cover members covering the conveyance path. On the occasion of setting the medium or when a jam has occurred, it is possible to contract the cover members in the conveyance direction of the medium. Also, even if the cover members move once from the state where they cover the conveyance path, it is possible to easily return the cover members to their original positions, and it is possible to easily return the cover members to the state where they cover a portion of the conveyance path.
