A seal member includes a heel fitted into a setting groove of a socket and a bulb-shaped portion to be compressed between the socket and a spigot. The bulb-shaped portion includes a first and a second projecting portion respectively formed on the outer side and the inner circumferential side thereof. A first radius of a first circle of the first projecting portion is smaller than a second radius of a second circle including a circular arc-shaped outline of the second projecting portion. The center of the first circle is located within the second circle. The distance between the center of the first circle and the center of the second circle in the axial direction of the seal member is smaller than the difference between the second radius and the first radius.

Pipe joint, gland, and method for joining pipes

In a pipe joint, a spigot of a first pipe is inserted into a socket of a second pipe, a lock-ring storage groove is formed in the socket, a lock ring is stored in the lock-ring storage groove, a spigot protrusion is formed on an outer circumference of the spigot, and the spigot protrusion is engaged with the lock ring from a deeper portion of the socket in a separation direction of the spigot so as to prevent the spigot from separating from the socket. The lock ring has a first surface for preventing separation facing an opening end of the socket and a second surface for preventing separation facing the deeper portion of the socket.

Pipe joint and pipe joining method

A spacer for limiting the movement of a spigot in an insertion direction is mounted between a distal end portion of the spigot and a deep end face of a socket. The spacer has a cylindrical body sandwiched between the distal end portion of the spigot and the deep end face of the socket, a contact portion in contact with the deep end face of the socket on an end portion of the body, a centering contact face in contact with an inner surface of the socket, and a separating face that is separated from the deep end face of the socket in a removing direction of the spigot. A gap surrounded by the separating face of the spacer, the deep end face of the socket, and the inner surface of the socket is formed. The gap lies outside the contact portion of the spacer in a radial direction.

In a pipe joint, a spigot is inserted into a socket; a lock ring is accommodated in a lock ring-accommodating groove formed in the inner circumference of the socket; and an engaging part formed in the outer circumference of the spigot, wherein the engaging part engages with the lock ring from a back side of the socket in a separation direction A of the spigot, thereby preventing the spigot from separating from the socket. The engaging part is formed at a position receding from a distal end of the spigot in the separation direction A of the spigot. A bending suppressing member for restricting the socket and the spigot in a bending direction C is provided between the inner circumference of the socket and the outer circumference of the spigot in the range between the distal end of the spigot and the engaging part.

Pipe joint

A ring body to be provided in a pipe joint which can prevent a spigot from separating from a socket by a spigot protrusion engaging with a lock ring from the back side of the socket in the separation direction A of the spigot. The ring body includes a main body part which is inserted into between the inner peripheral surface of the socket and the outer peripheral surface of the spigot to be provided in the pipe joint, and a deviation prevention member that prevents the main body part from deviating to the opening end side of the socket, wherein the main body part moves the spigot in the pipe radial direction with respect to the socket, thereby reducing deviation in the pipe radial direction between the pipe axis of a first pipe and the pipe axis of a second pipe.

A pipe joint in which a seal body and a spacer are mounted from the insides of pipes, wherein: a spigot of one pipe is inserted into a socket of the other pipe; and an annular accommodation space is formed between the inner circumference of the socket and the outer circumference of the spigot. Inside the accommodation space are accommodated: a seal body for sealing the gap between the socket and the spigot; a push ring that presses the seal body to keep the seal body in a compressed state; and a spacer that maintains the interval between the push ring and the deep end of the socket in the pipe axial direction.

Gland for pipe joints

A pipe-joining centering device aligns, with an axial center of one pipe, an axial center of another pipe when a spigot of the other pipe is to be inserted into a socket of the one pipe. The pipe-joining centering device includes a support member configured to support an end part of the spigot. The support member is tiltable in a pipe radial direction between an inner peripheral surface of the socket and an outer peripheral surface of the spigot. The pipe-joining centering device also includes a position adjustment member configured to tilt the support member in the pipe radial direction. The support member and the position adjustment member are supported on the inner peripheral surface of the socket.
