Buckle

In a buckle of a type in which an insertion body of a male member is inserted into a housing of a female member, the male member is comprised of the insertion body and a belt attaching frame, the insertion body and the belt attaching frame being formed separately while a base end of the insertion body and the belt attaching frame are linked with each other so as to be freely rotatable, and the female member is comprised of the housing and a belt attaching frame, the housing and the belt attaching frame being formed separately while a front end of the housing and the belt attaching frame are linked with each other so as to be freely rotatable. Consequently, the buckle can readily fit a configuration of a surface of a product to be used, particularly a curved state thereof, thereby achieving a stable tightening.

A plug of a twist latch is comprised of a main body, knob body and fixing plate. The main body has a shaft-bearing portion provided on a base, whose outer shape is an ellipse and having a circular hole portion inside. An upper portion of the shaft-bearing portion is a contracted diameter portion while a lower portion thereof is an expanded diameter portion. Several protruded ridge portions are provided on the expanded diameter portion to form an engaging portion. The knob body has a knob portion of an ellipse-trapezoidal shape having a shaft portion extended from a bottom face thereof. The shaft portion is divided along an axis thereof. This shaft portion is rotatably fit into the shaft-bearing portion. The fixing plate has a hole portion in which the shaft-bearing portion can be inserted, and is formed with fitting portions that can be fit onto an engaging portion, on the periphery of the hole portion. When this plug is mounted on a cloth, the shaft-bearing portion is inserted from a back side of the cloth. Upon use of this plug, the knob body is inserted into a socket provided on a mating cloth and the knob portion is turned so as to engage the plug with the socket. Thus, the plug can be attached from a back side of a cloth such as a bag, and the twist latch has a tough structure and a good appearance and does not easily slip out of the cloth.

An elongate article coupler comprises a pair of fitting parts for severally retaining end parts of the elongate articles and a connecting part disposed between the fitting parts and adapted to interconnect the fitting parts, the connecting part having a breaking part adapted to be broken under a tension exceeding a prescribed level. In accordance with one embodiment of the modification, the coupler comprises a pair of fitting parts each including one of a pair of engaging parts adapted to form mutual engagement and break the engagement under a tension exceeding a prescribed level. In accordance with another modification, the coupler comprises one or more of fitting parts and retention cancelling means adapted to induce retention of the elongate article in cooperation with the fitting parts and cancel the retention of the elongate article when a tension exceeding a prescribed level is exerted on the elongate article.

A cord fastener used for fastening end portions of a cord is composed of two identical fastener members coupled together via an interlocking engagement between a locking portion and a resilient leg. The fastener members each include a cord-receiving portion for receiving the end portions of the cord, pointed teeth projecting from the cord-receiving portion to bite the material of the cord and a support wall disposed on at least one side of the cord-receiving portion at a position such that the support wall of each fastener member makes no interference with the support wall on the opposite fastener member when the two fastener members are assembled together. The cord fastener is manufactured less costly because the two identical fastener members can be molded on a single set of mold assembly.

A lock fastener for bags or other receptacles (B) comprises a plug member and a socket member releasably engageable therewith, the plug member having an engaging tongue which is resiliently lockable with the socket member and unlockable therefrom by a means movable toward and away from the plug member and resiliently retractable to its original position upon releasing the plug member 11 from the socket member 12.

A cord locking device of this invention comprises a casing having openings respectively at opposite ends and a longitudinal aperture in a front plate, and a slide adapted to be inserted in the casing. The slide has a pair of resilient grip portions extending from opposite sides of a head portion of the slide, and also has a pair of engaging portions each extending from a side surface of the slide between the head portion and a base of each of the grip portions. In order to increase the resilience, the slide further has a resilient portion situated between the grip portions. The slide additionally has a central resilient guide portion situated rearwardly of the head portion in such a manner that the guide portion should project outwardly from an outer surface of the front plate of the casing through the aperture when the slide is inserted in the casing. For locking and unlocking the cord, the slide is slided with the gripping of the grip portions. When the guide portion is depressed in the aperture, the slide can be removed from the casing for exchanging the cord with a new one.

Cord locking device

A lock fastener for attachment to a bag or the like comprises a socket member and a plug member releasably engageable therewith. A slide member has resilient means for supporting the slide member resiliently movably within the socket member. The socket member and the slide member are provided with respective circular apertures and of substantially equal diameter which are brought out of registry to lock and into registry to unlock the plug member relative to the socket member.

A buckle comprising a plug having a base plate and a pair of resilient arms extending forward from the base plate; each arms having a coupling hook; a socket including a pair of upper and lower walls to define therebetween a chamber for receiving the arms and a pair of coupling lugs mounted in the chamber; as inserted into the chamber, the arms being first compressed laterally thereof by the lugs against its own resiliency and, after the coupling hooks pass beyond the respective lugs expanded under its own resiliency to bring the coupling hooks into coupling engagement with the coupling lugs; and a lock member mounted in the chamber so as to reciprocally move between a locking position and an unlocking position; the lock member comprising two or first or second pairs of locking members, each locking member in each pair being opposed to the other locking member, respectively, in said each pair; the lock member resiliently fitted in an elongated aperture of the upper wall, with the first and second locking members of the lock member adapted to come into locking engagement with the opposed locking means formed in the edge of the through aperture to thus selectively lock the lock member in the locking position and the unlocking position.

Separable buckle

A buckle includes a triangular projection provided on a male member for deflecting a resilient force of a resilient member toward a direction of removal of the male member. When locking elements of the male member are disengaged from retaining elements of a female member in response to the movement of a pair of actuating members, the triangular projection is operated to thrust out the male member from the female member under the resiliency of the resilient member. Thus, the buckle can be detached with one hand.
