A recording medium has a user-data zone in which a plurality of fragments can be reserved by recording the start and end addresses of the fragments, and a management information zone in which management information having recorded-area-indicator (RAI) information indicating whether each of partial areas into which the user-data zone is divided by a fixed size is a recorded area and fragment information concerning each fragment reserved in the user-data zone is recorded. RAI information and fragment information are acquired from the management information zone. A recording end position in the reserved fragment is searched for using the entirety of an area in a reserved fragment as a search range. A search range in an unreserved fragment whose end address is not defined is determined on the basis of the RAI information, and a recording end position in the unreserved fragment is searched for within the determined search range.

A seat belt retractor having a function of taking up a seat belt using a motor. A spool is fitted in a base frame such that a torsion bar functions as a shaft of the spool. Two gear-clutch casings are disposed on the left and right sides of the spool via a pretensioner and a locking mechanism, respectively, wherein two motors are disposed to the gear-clutch casings, respectively. The two motors achieve respective functions which are different from each other and rotate at respective constant speeds.

Seat belt retractor

A seat belt retracting device having a motor for retracting a seat belt having a tongue adapted to engage a buckle. The device includes an electrical circuit for controlling operation of the motor with a one-chip integrated circuit (IC). The circuit includes a control output power circuit; a motor control power circuit; and a communication control power circuit. The motor is configured to operate for a first prescribed period of time to retract the seatbelt from the moment at which disengagement between the buckle and the tongue is detected.

Seat belt retracting device

A seat belt retractor for retracting a seat belt is formed of a first motor for retracting a seat belt with a force not providing a pressing feeling to a passenger, a second motor having a torque greater than that of the first motor for retracting the seat belt with a force forcibly holding the passenger to a seat, and a control circuit connected to the first and second motors for controlling the same. Thus, the seat belt retractor can perform a forced retraction and a normal retraction with an economical structure.

Seat belt retractor with double retraction system

A seat belt buckle engagement detector of the invention includes a by-pass or direct circuit for supplying electricity from a battery to one end of a seat belt warning lamp through a current limiting resistance. With this by-pass circuit, even if an ignition switch is turned off, in case a buckle switch is turned on, a signal of a ground potential is inputted to a seat belt system. In case the buckle switch is turned off, a signal of a potential corresponding to a voltage of the battery is inputted to the seat belt system. Thus, the seat belt system can carry out a desired process even under a condition where the ignition switch is turned off.

Seat belt buckle engagement detector and seat belt system

In a seat belt control device of the invention, when a buckle switch detects disengagement of a buckle and a tongue plate of a seat belt, the seat belt is retracted through a motor. In addition, the seat belt is re-retracted, through a motor, when a passenger detector detects that no passenger is present in an automobile, when a door switch detects that a door opens, or when an engine key switch detects that an engine key is pulled out or is in an off state. Thus, the seat belt can be positively retracted. Therefore, when a passenger gets off or is going to get off, the seat belt can be securely retracted to thereby prevent the seat belt from being caught by a projection in a compartment or by the door of the automobile.

Seat belt control device

A drive circuit for an ultrasonic motor includes a DC power source, a transformer for applying to the ultrasonic motor two phase high frequency voltage alternating currents having a predetermined phase difference for driving the ultrasonic motor, a switching device interposed between the DC power source and the transformer for allowing a direct current from the direct DC power source to flow to the transformer at a predetermined timing, and a CPU connected to the switching device for controlling the switching device at the predetermined timing. Thus, the alternating current having an optimum frequency can be reliably and easily obtained. The drive circuit may include a vibration attenuating device operated when the ultrasonic motor is stopped. As a result, vibration of a stator of the ultrasonic motor is gradually reduced.

Drive circuit for ultrasonic motor

A radio communication apparatus having a reception system having an automatic gain control circuit, which includes a first band-pass filter with a wide band inserted into a signal supplying passage to a digital demodulator located in the subsequent stage of a variable gain type intermediate frequency amplifier. The automatic gain control circuit further includes a second band-pass filter with a narrow-band set narrower than that of the first band-pass filter, inserted in a circuit that forms an automatic gain control (AGC) loop. Received analog signals are modulated and subjected to digital demodulation by the digital demodulator after passing through the first band-pass filter. Received intermediate-frequency signals which have passed through the second band-pass filter are supplied to a detector provided in the AGC loop. A gain control signal corresponding to the difference between the signal level value detected by the detector and a predetermined reference value is generated from an error amplifier, and is looped back to the intermediate frequency amplifier to control the gain thereof.
