At least one filter block () is formed in a thin and flat dielectric multilayer structure () and fixed with radiation elements (). Each filter block includes at least one of a low-pass filter, a high-pass filter and a band-eliminating filter. On the surface (one major surface) side and/or the side face of the multilayer structure, at least one radiation element () being connected with the filter block is provided and feeding parts () for supplying signal to the radiation elements are provided on the rear surface of the multilayer structure. Consequently, the antenna and the filter block are integrated and a small surface mountable antenna with a built-in filter of a structure such that signals are not mixed each other even when signals of a plurality of frequency bands are transmitted/received can be obtained.

Antenna with built-in filter

A dielectric antenna module () includes an antenna element unit () having an antenna element () consisting of a radiation electrode () and a signal line () formed on a dielectric substrate (), and a module substrate unit () having a signal processing circuit formed on a module substrate (). The substrate () are arranged and connected to each other so that their bottom surfaces form a single plane. The antenna element unit () and the module substrate unit () are connected to each other by fitting a projection () to a recess () formed on and in the opposing faces of the substrates (). On the projection () and in the recess (), signal lines () are formed, respectively, and on the opposing faces of the substrates (), ground electrodes () are formed. When the projection and recesses are engaged, the signal lines () are connected to each other and the ground electrodes () are connected to each other. A base film () where a ground electrode is formed is attached to the bottom surface of the substrates ().

Dielectric antenna module

Four frequency components (fto f) (where, ffff) are input into a port () of a first demultiplexing filter circuit (), and demultiplexed into low frequency components (fand f) and high frequency components (fand f), and input in a port () of a second demultiplexing filter circuit () and a port () of a third demultiplexing filter circuit (), respectively. The frequency components (fand f) are demultiplexed into the component (f) and the component (f) by the second demultiplexing filter circuit (), and output from a port () and a port (), respectively. The frequency components (fand f) are demultiplexed into the component (f) and the component (f) by the third demultiplexing filter circuit (), and output from a port () and a port (), respectively. The first demultiplexing filter circuit () comprises a low-pass filter () and a high-pass filter (), the second demultiplexing filter circuit () comprises a low-pass filter () and a combined filter () of a combination of a low-pass filter and a band elimination filter, and the third demultiplexing filter circuit () comprises a combined filter () of a combination of a high-pass filter and a band elimination filter and a high-pass filter (). These demultiplexing filter circuits are formed of a stacked structure.

Multiplexer

An approximately rectangular plate-shaped radiation member () is provided and support portions () are attached to lower surface end portions adjacent to a pair of parallel shorter sides of the radiation member (). The support portion () is composed of a laminated circuit member including a laminated demultiplexer and a laminated band pass filter of the reception side and the transmission side respectively connected to the laminated demultiplexer. The radiation member () has a power supply terminal () and a ground terminal () at the end portion where the support portion () is mounted. The power supply terminal () and the ground terminal () are connected to an antenna terminal () and the ground terminal () of the laminated circuit, respectively. The radiation member () has a radiation electrode () where a slot () is formed. The shape of the slot is set so that the radiation electrode () causes resonance in a plurality of frequency bands.
