A door opening and closing mechanism includes an apparatus body, a door configured to open and close a side face of the apparatus body, a closing mechanism configured to move the door from an open position to open the side face to a close position to close the side face, a control switch provided in the apparatus body, the control switch being operated from an operation hole opening in the side face, and a control button provided in the door and configured to press the control switch from the operation hole at the close position of the door. The control switch is provided at a position shifted from the operation hole toward the interior of the apparatus body.

A disk recording-reproducing apparatus ensures a large transport distance of a tray which moves a disk-shaped recording medium between an ejecting position and a recording-reproducing position while decreasing a dimension in the transport direction. A drive section () is built into a tray () which can be extracted from and retracted into an external chassis () and moves a disk-shaped recording medium between the ejecting position and the recording-reproducing position. A pinion () comprises an output end of the drive section () and rolls on a rack () of a chucking slider () to self-propel the tray (). After the tray () completely moves to the recording-reproducing apparatus side, an output from the drive section () of the tray () is used to move the chucking slider () to the ejecting direction of the tray (). Then, a cam groove () provided on the chucking slider () is used to raise a base unit ().

Disc type recording/reproduction device

A recording and reproduction apparatus has a medium door which is disposed on the front of a medium insertion slot and opens or closes the medium insertion slot. An opening and closing mechanism allows the medium door to enter the medium insertion slot in response to an operation of trying to insert a predetermined medium into the medium insertion slot thereby to open the medium insertion slot.

A cassette deck that can use either a large cassette or a small cassette and can move the small cassette with certainty to a position at which the small cassette can be taken out manually. The cassette deck includes a housing, and a mounting and discharging mechanism capable of mounting and discharging any of a small cassette and a large cassette. The mounting and discharging mechanism includes a moving mechanism for pushing at a rear face of the small cassette to move the small cassette to a position at which the small cassette can be manually taken out. The moving mechanism provided on a lid member includes a pivotal arm mounted for pivotal back and forth movement over approximately 180 degrees on the inner side of the housing.

A reel base braking mechanism for a reel base of a video tape recorder in which the number of assembly parts can be reduced and an accurate braking timing can be obtained by employing a so-called one-way mechanism using a plane cam. In a ganged relation with a slide operation of a slide plate on which a plane cam formed of first and second guide grooves is formed when a tape loading and tape unloading are carried out, a pin of a braking arm is selectively engaged with the first and second guide grooves to rotate the braking arm to control the timing at which said supply-reel base is operated with brakes-on and off.
