Percussion instrument

A reed includes: a reed main body having a plate shape, the reed main body including a fixed part fixed to a mouthpiece, and a vibrating part that extends from the fixed part and vibrates; and a sensor part that is disposed inside the vibrating part or on an inner surface of the vibrating part, the inner surface of the vibrating part facing the mouthpiece, the sensor part comprising an effective sensor portion that detects vibration of the vibrating part.

Reed for a musical instrument

A drum head includes: a first film including a striking surface; a second film disposed opposed to a back surface of the first film which is back from the striking surface; and a sensor disposed between the first film and the second film and configured to output a signal related to vibration. The sensor includes: a first contact surface configured to contact the back surface of the first film without being secured to the back surface; and a second contact surface configured to contact a front surface of the second film without being secured to the front surface. A sensor tail of the sensor is secured to at least one of the first film and the second film located outside the shell when the first film and the second film are stretched over an open end of a shell.

Drum head

A drum, including: a shell; at least one head; and a vibration damping portion including at least one of (a) an outer-surface facing surface which is disposed in substantially parallel with and is closely opposed to an outer surface of an outer peripheral portion of the at least one head without contacting the outer surface and (b) an inner-surface facing surface which is disposed in substantially parallel with and is closely opposed to an inner surface of the outer peripheral portion of the at least one head without contacting the inner surface.

Drum

A drum head includes a skin having an inner skin and an outer skin formed integrally with an outer edge of the inner skin. The inner skin has a plurality of openings arranged in a circumferential direction of the inner skin. An outline of each of the plurality of openings has an inner end portion in a radial direction of the skin in plan view, and the inner end portion protrudes and tapers inward in the radial direction.

Pedal device for electronic percussion instrument

A bass drumhas a hollow cylindrical shell, a drumheadmounted on an opening end of the shellto form a striking surface, and a striking surface attachmentprovided on the reverse side of the drumhead. The striking surface attachmentis formed of an elastic sheet. At least a part of an outer area of the striking surface attachmentis fixed to the drumheadand a central area of the striking surface attachmentis not fixed to the drumhead. As a result, the bass drumcan generate a struck sound having both deep bass sound and clear attack.

Bass drum

A snare drumhas a hollow cylindrical shell, a batter headmounted on one end of the shell, a snare side headmounted on the other end of the shelland a snare wirewhose both ends are held by the both sides of the shellto span across the surface of the snare side head. The snare side headhas a plurality of through-holes. As a result, the snare drumreduces sound volume while maintaining natural timbre and feeling of striking a snare drum.

An acoustic drumhas a hollow cylindrical shell, a drumheadmounted to an opening end of the shellto form a striking surface, a striking surface attachmentprovided on the entire surface of a useful movable portion of the front side of the drumhead, and a striking surface attachmentprovided on the entire surface of a useful movable portion of the reverse side of the drumhead. Each of the striking surface attachmentsandis formed of a resin film, with respective outer areas of the striking surface attachmentsandbeing fixed to the drumhead. As a result, the acoustic drumcan reduce sound volume, while maintaining struck sounds having brightness and providing a player with favorable feeling of striking.

Acoustic drum

Detection is made of a physical amount caused by operation performed on a mouthpiece with a human player's mouth, and a tone pitch corresponding to the detected physical amount is identified by referencing a memory storing information defining relationship between various ranges of the physical amount and tone pitches. Expected tone generating style is notified to the player based on the identified tone pitch. The memory contains a pitch table defining relationship between various ranges of the physical amount and tone pitches, and a gain table defining gain information corresponding to deviations of the physical amount from a predetermined reference point for each tone pitch and within the range of the physical amount corresponding to the tone pitch. For the detected physical amount, a tone pitch and gain information are identified by referencing the pitch gain tables, so that the identified tone pitch and gain information is notified.

Tone generating style notification control for wind instrument having mouthpiece section

A tray for transporting a wafer is herein provided, which can control the temperature of the wafer upon the processing thereof, and which can easily fix the wafer without reducing the effective area on the surface of the wafer and without requiring much time for the adhesion of the wafer thereto and without requiring any post-treatment after the wafer is detached from or attached to the tray. The trayis one which comprises a base body consisting of an insulating material and an electrostatic chuck electrodeembedded in the base body, wherein the terminal at a load-dispatching or power supply portion for energizing the electrostatic chuck electrode is a spring-type terminal, the spring-type terminal is so designed that the tip of the same can come in touch with the electrostatic chuck electrode, and further the tray is so designed that a sealing memberis provided at the periphery of the load-dispatching portion so that any heat-exchanging medium never passes around the contact portion or area between the tip of the spring-type terminal and the electrostatic chuck electrode and that the tray can thus fixe the wafer S thereto through the electrostatic chucking. Thus, the wafer is fixed to this wafer-transporting tray by the action of the electrostatic chucking.

A pedal device for an electronic percussion instrument, including: a base; a foot board supported at its first end portion to the base and configured to pivot by depression; an arm rotatably supported at its first end at a pivot point located near to a second end portion of the foot board, the arm being pivotable about the pivot point; a mass portion provided near to a second end of the arm; a regulating portion for regulating a locus of displacement of the mass portion when the foot board is moved from a depression start position to a depression end position; and a stopper portion provided on the base for defining the depression end position by contacting the mass portion in a forward stroke of depression, the regulating portion regulating the locus of the displacement of the mass portion so as not to contain a downward component in the forward stroke.

A tone generation apparatus detects a position of a mouthpiece section having been pressed by a human player holding the mouthpiece section in his or her mouth. The tone generation apparatus identifies a tone pitch on the basis of the detected position and human player's operation on a piston control. Also, the tone generation apparatus detects a pressure of breath blown by the human player into the mouthpiece section and generates a tone signal of a wind instrument having the identified tone pitch, and audibly reproduces the tone signal after amplifying the tone signal in accordance with a tone volume level corresponding to the detected pressure of breath.

Tone generation control apparatus

A percussion detecting apparatus capable of enhancing an effect of disturbance interception by intercepting a micro-vibration conveyed from a support frame. A pad member has a pad having a back-side surface to which a base is fixed, and a percussion sensor is disposed on a back-side surface of the base. The pad member is supported by a frame via fixing members integral with the pad member and intervening members made of silicon rubber. Vertical protrusions having different protrusion heights are formed on an upper surface of a flange of each intervening member, and horizontal protrusions are formed on an inner peripheral surface of a through-hole of each intervening member. When the pad member in an unstruck state, each fixing member is in contact with a corresponding one of the intervening members only at the vertical and horizontal protrusions of the intervening member.

Percussion detecting apparatus

A baseplate carries on its surface a pad constituting a strike surface and a tubular rim surrounding the pad and constituting a strike ring. A pad sensor is provided on the surface of the baseplate in the central area thereof for detecting the vibration of the baseplate caused by a strike on the pad, and a rim sensor is provided between the rim and the baseplate for detecting the vibration of the rim. The electric signals representing the detected vibrations trigger the generation of tone signals of drum sounds. The baseplate is supported via vibration absorber pieces on a support frame. Thus, disturbing vibrations externally given to the support frame will be prevented from propagating up to the baseplate, being absorbed by the vibration absorber pieces.
