There is provided a radar system having an input amplitude correcting function in which even when a large reflection wave exceeding a dynamic range of an A/D converter is inputted, an RCS calculation without a time lag can be executed at high precision, high reliability, and low costs without using power amplification degree control such as an AGC circuit or the like. Harmonic peaks of each target peak of an FFT-processed frequency spectrum are detected. When the harmonics are detected, it is determined that the large reflection wave exceeding the dynamic range of the A/D converter has been inputted, and a lost input amplitude is corrected in accordance with a correction table showing a relation between the harmonic order and an input amplitude correction amount which have previously been recorded.

A power supply apparatus controls the gate and drain power supplies at the rise time so that an output voltage of the gate power rises earlier than that of the drain power supply. Another power supply control apparatus controls the gate and drain power supplies at the fall time so that an output voltage of the gate power supply fails later than that of the drain power supply. Another power supply control apparatus turns off the drain supply of the FET among power supplies when it is detected by a voltage monitor whenever either of output voltages or the power supplies are not within said specified range.

In order to magnetically shield the transmission line which connects the external connector mounted on the outer housing with the internal circuit and also to make it possible to freely mount the external connector without being limited by the position of the internal circuit, an outer housingconsists of an outer housing main bodyand a shielding layerapplied to the inner-periphery surface of the outer housing. An transmission lineextends from the internal circuit through the outer-periphery side of the shielding layerof the outer housingalong the shielding layerto the desired position, where the external connectoris placed.
