A clinical laboratory system for managing clinical laboratory work is described that includes: an examination information input means for inputting examination information relating to clinical laboratory work; an examination information memory means for storing input examination information; an extraction means for extracting examination information meeting a predetermined extraction condition related to progress of an examination from among stored examination information; a screen preparation means for creating a progress management screen for displaying extracted examination information; and an output means for outputting the progress management screen. A blood image analyzer is disclosed that comprising: an image capturing unit for capturing a blood image of a sample; an analyzing part for analyzing the sample based on the blood image; an identification information reader for reading, from the sample, identification information assigned to the sample; a transportation part for transporting the sample to the identification information reader and the image capturing unit; a first detector for detecting the sample at a first detection position on a pathway of the sample transported by the transportation part; a display; and a controller for controlling the display, so as to display, based on a detection result by the first detector, a screen including a first identification information display region, wherein the first identification information display region displays identification information of the sample being at the first detection position.

A specimen imaging apparatus is provided that is capable of improved high-speed operation compared to conventional apparatuses. The specimen imaging apparatus is provided with a microscope for enlarging the image of a specimen, and taking the enlarged image of the specimen obtained by the microscope. The apparatus is provided with a vibration detector for detecting a relative vibration between the objective lens of the microscope and the specimen mounted in the microscope, a focuser for focusing before the vibration detected by the vibration detector has attenuated to less than a predetermined value, and a controller for determining whether or not a vibration detected by the vibration detector is less than a predetermined value. The specimen imaging apparatus is configured so as to take the enlarged image of a specimen when the controller has determined that the vibration is less than a predetermined value.
