There is provided a cover-material fastening end member including a band-shaped member and a locking member. The locking member is formed such that a width thereof in a direction perpendicular to a surface of the band-shaped member is wider than a width of the band-shaped member. The locking member includes: a center plate-shaped portion, a flange portion, and a plurality of rib portions. The flange portion has a surface extending along a longitudinal direction of the end edge portion of the band-shaped member and perpendicular to a surface of the center plate-shaped portion. The rib portions each has a surface intersecting with the center plate-shaped portion and the flange portion. The rib portions are provided on the center plate-shaped portion along the longitudinal direction of the center plate-shaped portion at predetermined intervals.

End member for fastening cover material

There is provided a cover-material fixing tool. A cover-material fixing end member is configured to be attached on a cover-material. A clip is configured to be attached on a cover-material fixing end member. The cover-material fixing end member includes a tape member, a clip locking member, and a plurality of stoppers. The clip includes a locking portion for holding the clip locking member to allow the clip locking member to move in a longitudinal direction, and a locking protrusion protruding toward the clip locking member and configured to abut against the stoppers. The clip is movable between the adjacent stoppers to allow position adjustment thereof.

Skin-material fixing tool

There is provided a skin-material fixing clip for connecting a skin material with a cushion material and provided with a locking section and a hook. The hook is provided with an extension portion extending downward from the locking section and a claw-shaped portion extending laterally from a distal end of the extension portion. The locking section is provided with a wire guide piece. A groove portion surrounded by the claw-shaped portion and the extension portion defines a wire holding space. Parts of the wire guide piece and the claw-shaped portion facing the wire insertion opening defines guide surfaces. The distal end portion of the wire guide piece and the distal end portion of the claw-shaped portion are provided to be spaced from each other along a direction parallel to an extending direction of the groove portion.

Skin-material fixing clip

A molded surface fastener comprises at least one surface fastener portion and a foldable piece portion that extends from the surface fastener portion. At least a part of the foldable piece portion has flexibility. The surface fastener portion has a pair of first barrier portions and a second barrier portion. A cushion body with the molded surface fastener anchored to a prescribed position while a plurality of engaging elements are in an exposed state can be stably manufactured by way of foam molding the cushion body using the molded surface fastener.

This surface fastener has a substrate portion and a plurality of engaging elements, each of the engaging elements being provided with a stem portion standing from the substrate portion and a hook portion extending in the fastener width direction from the stem portion. The engaging element has a narrow width tip end portion provided with at least a hook portion and an enlarged width portion provided with only the stem portion, separated by a reference surface along the fastener length and height directions as a boundary. This makes an undercut hardly formable in the molding of the engaging element, and deficiencies such as deformation and the like of the engaging element can be prevented. Further, the strength of the stem portion can be increased, and a damage which a loop-shaped engaging element and the engaging element receive when the loop-shaped engaging element is attached or pulled out can be reduced.

Molded surface fastener

A skin material fastening structure for removably fastening an edge of a first skin material covering a part of molded foam and an edge of a second skin material covering another part of the molded foam in a fastening groove formed in the molded foam. The fastening groove includes first and second sides facing each other, and a bottom extending between lower ends of the first and second sides. A hook and loop fastener is fixed on the first and second sides. Each of the edges of the first and second skin materials has loops capable of engaging with the hooks.

There is provided a cover material fastening clip for attaching a cover material to a cushion material. The clip is provided with a locking portion, a hook portion and a guide portion. The hook portion is provided with an extending portion that extends downward from the locking portion, a first hook piece a second hook portion. The guide portion is formed in the locking portion or the extending portion and is located above the first and second hook pieces. A space between a leading end portion of the first hook piece and the guide portion serves as a first insertion opening with a predetermined gap into which the wire is inserted. A space between a leading end portion of the second hook piece and the guide portion serves as a second insertion opening with a predetermined gap into which the wire is inserted.

Cover material fastening clip

A cover material fastening cord for fastening a cover material to a cushion material via a clip includes: an elongated tape portion whose first rim is connected to the cover material and whose second rim is connected to the clip; a plurality of block portions that are provided on a surface of the tape portion and has a thickness capable of being held by the clip in a thickness direction of the tape portion; and a flexible joint portion provided on the surface of the tape portion, the joint portion connecting adjacent ones of the block portions.

Cover-material fastening cord

Various embodiments include a male surface fastener member configured for being molded onto a surface of a foaming resin mold body. The male surface fastener member includes a plurality of male surface fastener strips connected with each other in an end-to-end relationship via a connecting portion that is integrally formed with at least the end portions of each male surface fastener strips. Each male surface fastener strip includes a base material having a first surface from which a plurality of engaging elements extend upwardly and first and second substantially lateral resin intrusion prevention walls that upwardly from the first surface along a width direction of the base material between the first and second longitudinal resin intrusion prevention walls. Each of the lateral resin intrusion prevention walls comprises a plurality of engaging elements that are arranged in series in a width direction of the first surface.

Male surface fastener member for use in a cushion body mold and manufacturing method thereof

A fastening member according to the invention includes right and left sewn areas which are sewn to one member out of a cushion member and a cover material, a hook-and-loop fastener area which is disposed between the right and left sewn areas and which has a plurality of female engagement elements formed on one face thereof, and a connection area which connects between the hook-and-loop fastener area and the respective sewn areas. Here, the connection area is configured to have a lower yarn density than that of the sewn areas and allows the hook-and-loop fastener area to be displaced relatively to the sewn areas. According to the fastening member of the invention, since the fastened cover material can be easily displaced against the cushion member, wrinkling occurrence at the cover material can be prevented when the cover material is assembled to the cushion member.

Fastening member

A fixing unit includes: an attachment member attached to a seat body; an engaging member engaged with an opening provided to the seat body; and a string member connecting the attachment member and the engaging member, the string member being engaged with a cover. The engaging member includes: a body to which the string member is attached; a first contact portion provided to the body to be in contact with a first periphery of the opening; and an insert portion provided on the body at a position spaced apart from the first contact portion, the insert portion being inserted into the opening. The insert portion includes a first restricting portion to be in contact with a second periphery of the opening opposite the first periphery to restrict the insert portion from being detached from the opening.

Fixture unit and cover fixing method

A cover-material fixing clip includes: a chuck that pinches a locking hem formed on a back surface of a cover material; a hook that locks a wire provided in a groove of a cushion material; and a guide lever that is provided facing an opening of the hook. A proximal end of the hook is connected to a bottom of the chuck opposite to the cover material. The guide lever is connected to a side surface of the chuck.

Clip for fastening surface skin material

Hook structures for use in hook and loop or hook and engagement material fastening applications. Structures according to embodiments of the invention include hooks which extend from bases which in turn extend from a foundation and also extend laterally across the structures. The bases are separated by valleys which also extend laterally across the structures, whose height can be uniform laterally in the structures or varied. The bases provide suitable strength and support to allow the hooks to be robust and strong for permanent or semi-permanent fastening applications, while the valleys interposed between bases allow the hooks to penetrate sufficiently deeply into the engagement material for effective fastening to occur. Such structures may be formed according to processes which physically or conceptually employ various layers to support hooks, retention barrier members such as fingers interposed laterally between hooks, and/or for spacing such hooks and barriers as desired. Accordingly, structures can be formed according to the present invention using conventional ring-molding techniques (or any other desired techniques), to provide hook fasteners with excellent fastening strength and other desired properties typically required, for example, in semi-permanent or permanent fastening applications.
