An electrical connector comprises a housing having a water stop groove and a region disposed between an end of the housing and the water stop groove. The water stop groove extends along a circumferential direction of the housing orthogonal to a mating direction of the electrical connector. The water stop groove is dimensioned to allow a surface tension to act on a quantity of water accumulated in the region.

An electrical connector assembly comprises a first connector and a second connector. The first connector has a hood defining a mating opening. The second connector has a housing body configured to be received in the hood, a rear end wall formed continuous with the housing body and projecting outward from the housing body in a circumferential direction, a lock arm configured to prevent disengagement of the first connector and the second connector, and a cover disposed at the rear end wall covering a portion of the lock arm. A front end surface of the rear end wall facing the second connector forms a uniformly continuous flat surface in a region including the cover.

Electrical connector assembly having a waterproofing provision without a seal ring

An electrical connector is disclosed having a housing and a female terminal. The housing has an assembly receiving space. The female terminal is positioned in the assembly receiving space and has a first female terminal, a second female terminal, and an elastic connecting spring. The first female terminal has a first contact receiving space. The second female terminal has a second contact receiving space and is independently displaceable relative to the first female terminal along a longitudinal axis. The elastic connecting spring connects the first female terminal to the second female terminal.

Electrical connector and female terminal

A surface mount connector is disclosed having a housing cover, a contact receiving base, and a first engagement portion. The contact receiving base is connected to the housing cover, having a plurality of contacts with terminating ends and opposite mating ends positioned inside the housing cover. The first engagement portion has a first projection positioned proximate to a mating end of either the housing cover or the contact receiving base, extending orthogonal to a plugging/unplugging direction. The first engagement portion also has a first projection receiving member positioned on the other of the contact receiving base and the housing cover proximate to the mating end, being complimentary to the first projection and receiving the first projection at a terminating end facing surface thereof.

Surface mount connector

The invention provides a wire cover, a wiring method and an electrical connector that can ensure routing of wires even in a limited space. The connector includes a housing, a lever, and a wire cover. The lever is mounted to the housing, and the wire cover is mounted to a side of a back surface of the housing. The wire cover includes a cover body, a wire routing passageway, and a hood portion. The cover body includes a plurality of wire receiving passageways positioned in one direction, while the wire routing passageway is directed into an inside of the cover body. The hood portion protrudes from a circumference of the wire routing passageway and provides a leading direction out of the wire routing passageway. The hood portion extends in a direction other than a direction of extension from a front surface and the back surface of the cover body.

Wire cover, wiring method of wires and electrical connector

A connector member that is improved in durability and reliability by preventing fracture of hinges of a retainer and can be smoothly mated with a mating connector. The connector member having a lance housing. a connector housing, and the retainer. The lance housing includes a plurality of terminal receiving slots, a recess disposed at a rear of the plurality of terminal receiving slots and in a portion of the lance housing near a rear surface thereof, and a pair of guide walls positioned opposite each other along a top surface of the lance housing. The connector housing includes a housing recess opening at one side for housing the lance housing. The retainer is fitted into the recess of the lance housing and swingably connected to the lance housing by a hinge.

Electrical connector member

A water-proof connector has a inner housing, a wire seal, and an outer housing. The outer housing has a plurality of electrical wire insertion passageways and a plurality of first boss pins disposed along an outer periphery of a region in which electrical wire insertion passageways are formed. The plurality of first boss pins include tip end parts with a tapered surface only in a portion facing outward from the region in which the electrical wire insertion passageways are formed.

Waterproof connector and method of assembly of waterproof connector

A wire cover has a cover body, a wire routing passageway and a hood. The cover body includes a plurality of wire receiving passageways positioned in one direction. The wire routing passageway is directed into an inside of the cover body. The hood protrudes from a circumference of the wire routing passageway and controls a leading direction out of the wire routing passageway wherein the hood has a different thicknesses between a base on a side of the cover body and a tip on another side of the cover body.

Wire cover and electrical connector

A lever type connector is mated with a mating connector by operating a rotatable lever with a mating portion being received in a receiving space of the mating connector. The lever type connector includes a slider having a cam groove and is moved by rotation of the lever. The mating connector further includes a cam pin positioned on a mating housing and inserted into the cam groove. A rib that constitutes a cam pin displacement restricting body is placed between a front cover that constitutes a part of a housing of the lever type connectorand the mating housing in a region corresponding to the cam pin.

Lever type electrical connector

A connector having a sliding cam that prevents twisting when mating with a mating connector. The connector having an inner housing, an inner housing, a slider receiving slot, and a slider. The inner housing includes a contact positioned in the inner housing, while the outer housing is attached to the inner housing. The slider receiving slot is positioned in the outer housing, and the slider includes a plurality of multiple cam grooves with cam pin insertion openings into which a plurality of cam pins positioned along a side surface of a mating connector are inserted. The slider is slidably received in the slider receiving slot. A plurality of temporary mating projections are positioned along the cam pin insertion openings, wherein a height of one of the plurality of temporary mating projections is higher than a height of another of the plurality of temporary mating projections.

Connector with sliding cam

A lever-type connector capable of simplifying a release operation for a lock of a lever locked by a lock while preventing the lock of the lever locked by the lock from unintentionally being released is provided. The lever-type connector includes a housing, a wire cover, a lever, and a lock. The housing includes a contact, while the wire cover attaches to a rear side of the housing. The lever includes a pair of side plates and a connecting part for connecting both of the side plates to each other. The lever bridges over the rear side of the wire cover and is rotatably attached to the housing between a release position and a mating position. The lock includes a cantilever plate-spring form and is positioned on the rear side of the wire cover in order to prevent rotation of the lever when set to the mating position.

Lever-type connector

A terminal crimping method and a crimping tool are provided, thereby suppressing the generation of friction at an anvil and a crimper and also suppressing the generation of an upthrust portion at the upper part of a wire barrel to which a conductor of a covered electrical wire is crimped. The crimping tool includes an anvil having a placement groove on which a female-type terminal is mounted, and a crimper that crimps a conductor barrel of the female-type terminal mounted on the anvil. The placement groove includes a first pressing portion that presses the effective crimping portion and a second pressing portion that presses the extension, and the bottom surface of the second pressing portion is formed as an inclined surface expanding and opening toward a receptacle side.

A lever-type connector capable of preventing a worker from damaging a lever when removing the lever from a housing is provided. The lever-type connector includes a housing containing a contact, a wire cover and a lever. The wire cover includes a main body, stopper and a first tapered section formed between the main body and the stopper. The wire cover is attached to a rear side of the housing. The lever includes a pair of side plates and a connecting part that connects the pair of side plates to each other. The lever rotatably attaches to the housing by bridging over the rear side of the wire cover with the wire cover inserted between the pair of side plates in a thickness direction. The main body has a smaller thickness than a distance between the pair of side plates and the stopper has a greater thickness than the distance between the pair of side plates.

Electrical connector

A lever-type connector capable of detecting displacement of a slider within a housing is provided. The lever-type connector includes a housing that has a contact receiving passageway for receiving a contact, a movable slider that is received within the housing, and a lever that can rotate between a mating start position and a mating completion position. By positioning the lever to the mating completion position, the slider is set to a mating position, thereby completing mating with a mating connector. The lever-type connector further includes an inspection hole that corresponds and communicates with a cam groove only when the slider is set to the mating position. The inspection hole is provided on a front surface of the housing.
