Provided is a rotary electric machine that is able to suppress vibration noise of the rotary electric machine caused by an out-of-plane deformation. The rotary electric machine includes a stator including a frame being an annular member, and a plurality of split cores arranged in an annular shape and fitted to and held by a radially inner portion of the frame, wherein the frame is formed such that an inner diameter of each of both end portions thereof is smaller than an inner diameter of an axial middle portion thereof, and fitting fastening force between the frame and each split core is set to be greater at both the end portions than at the axial middle portion.

The present invention is provided with: an insulation holder formed of a thermoplastic resin material and having a first opening; a wire connection ring formed of a thermoplastic resin material and having a second opening; and a joining component inserted astride in the first opening and the second opening, the joining component being formed of a metal material having a higher melting point than those of the thermoplastic resin materials, the joining component having a higher stiffness than those of the insulation holder and the wire connection ring, wherein a welded part is formed by welding in at least a part of an area where each of the insulation holder and the wire connection ring has contact with the joining component.

When an electrical angle of a tooth tip width, which is a width dimension of a tip of each of the teeth in a circumferential direction of the stator, is represented by &#x3b1;, an electrical angle of a pole arc angle, which is an angle formed by two straight lines that connect a rotation center of a rotor to corners on a rotor surface side of one permanent magnet, is represented by &#x3b2;, and a number of pole pairs is represented by P, the tooth tip width is within a range of (electrical angle)&#xb1;0.2&#xb0;&#xd7;P for a value that satisfies the following expression: &#x3b2;=&#x2212;2.5&#x3b1;+319.7 (0&#x3c;&#x3b2;&#x2264;180) [deg].

A stator of a rotating electrical machine includes: a plurality of annularly arranged stator cores; a stator winding attached to slots of the stator cores; and a shell () that retains the stator cores. In the stator of the rotating electrical machine, the ends of coil terminal wires (), () on the innermost circumferential side and the outermost circumferential side of each slot are oriented in the axial direction of the stator; and side surfaces of the ends of the terminal wires (), () are brought into contact with each other and are welded above the coil end () of the stator winding.

Provided is a rotating electric machine capable of improving heat dissipation from each of busbars to achieve a higher output. The rotating electric machine includes: a stator core (); a frame (); coil portions; a plurality of busbars () arranged on one end surface side of the stator core (), which are to be electrically connected to the coil portions to distribute electric power to the coil portions; a holder (); and a plate () having one end portion facing at least one of the plurality of busbars () and another end portion exposed externally from the holder () to be held in contact with an outer circumferential surface of a jacket (). The plate () guides heat of the plurality of busbars () from the one end portion to the another end portion.
