A vehicle headlight () includes: a first light emitting optical system (LE) that emits first light (L); a second light emitting optical system (LE) that emits second light (L); a projection lens (); and a beam shaper (), in which the beam shaper () includes a main member () and a reinforcing member () overlapping the main member (), the main member () includes a base portion () having a part that includes a front end of the main member () and does not overlap the reinforcing member () and a part that overlaps the reinforcing member () and to which the reinforcing member () is fixed, and an upper surface of the base portion () reflects a part of the first light (L) toward the projection lens () in such a way as to form a cutoff line (CL) of a low beam light distribution pattern (PL).

Vehicle headlight

A lamp unit irradiates light emitted from a light source and reflected by a spatial light modulator, toward a front of the unit through a projection lens. The projection lens is constituted by a plurality of lenses disposed side by side in a front-rear direction of the unit. The plurality of lenses are supported by a common lens holder. In the plurality of lenses, a lens located on a rearmost side of the unit is constituted by a glass lens and remaining lenses are constituted by a resin lens.

Lamp unit

A lamp unit includes a light source including a plurality of light emitting elements provided in a common substrate; a projection lens that projects light emitted from the light source toward a front of the lamp unit to form a required light distribution pattern; and a light-transmitting body disposed between the light source and the projection lens and that forms a projection image by controlling transmission of light emitted from the light source. The light transmitting body includes a plurality of incident portions that causes light emitted from each of the plurality of light emitting elements to be incident, and the light transmitting body and the substrate are supported by a lens holder that supports the projection lens.

A lens holder which supports a projection lens is screwed and fixed to a bracket which supports a spatial light modulator. A positioning pin configured to position the lens holder in a left-right direction with respect to the bracket is inserted into a long hole which is formed in the bracket and extends in a lamp front-rear direction. The screwing and fixing is performed in a state where the positioning pin is inserted into the long hole and is appropriately moved in the lamp front-rear direction, so that the lens holder is restricted from being displaced in a left-right direction with respect to the bracket, and it is possible to finely adjust a positional relationship between the projection lens and the spatial light modulator in the lamp front-rear direction.

The three-dimensional surface display device includes a plurality of light guide portions, each of which includes a light incidence surface on one end side and a light extraction surface on the other end side. The plurality of light guide portions are different in at least one length, and the light extraction surfaces are arranged three-dimensionally adjacent to each other.

When the vehicle changes a traffic lane from a first traffic lane to a second traffic lane, the illumination controller: controls the illumination unit to irradiate the light pattern on a road surface between a first other vehicle traveling on the second traffic lane and a second other vehicle which is a following vehicle of the first other vehicle; and changes a length of the light pattern, depending on an interval between the first other vehicle and the second other vehicle.

Inter-light-emitting-element spacing within the light-emitting element array widens the more separated the elements are from the projection lens' optical axis.

Light source module

A lighting unit includes a first light source, a second light source, a projection lens, a first reflector that reflects light from the first light source, a second reflector that reflects light from the second light source, a shade section, and a reflecting section. The shade section is movable between a first position at which at least a part of the light from the second reflector is shielded and a second position which is spaced apart from the first position. The reflecting section reflects a part of the light reflected from the second reflector when the shade section is at the first position.
