The present invention provides the lighting apparatus cable that allows it to easily attach the lighting module and enables it to improve the productivity. A flat cable used in a lighting apparatus having a plurality of lighting modules disposed in series, for connecting the lighting modules in such a manner that colors and/or luminous intensities of emitted lights of the lighting modules can be controlled, the flat cable comprising: at least four conductors disposed in parallel which include two signal conductors disposed at both sides of the cable and two power feeding conductors; a sheath member covering the at least four conductors to integrate; and notches formed on both sides of the cable so as to cut the signal conductors.

A light emitting apparatus comprises at least two light emitting elements with different chromaticities; and a light emitting element controller that controls light emitted from the light emitting apparatus so as to be a desired chromaticity. The light emitting element controller controls the light emitting elements based on a predetermined function of light emitting element temperature variation. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a light emitting apparatus that, even if the temperature varies, has a stable desired chromaticity without chromaticity variation. A display data packet contains identification information. A display unit communication system includes a control unit, a terminal adaptor to which a terminal adaptor ID is assigned and which is connected to the control unit, and a display unit to which a display unit ID is assigned and which is connected to the terminal adaptor in series and drives a display element according to the display data packet supplied from the control unit. The terminal adaptor receives a display data packet, the terminal adaptor ID of which agrees with that contained in the identification information, and transfers the display data packet to the display unit. The display unit receives the display data packet, the display unit ID of which agrees with that contained in the identification information, and drives the display element to display an image.

Each horizontal driving section and a driving control section of a display apparatus have a data communicating function. The driving control section has a first communicating section receiving data from an external device and a second communicating section communicating data with each horizontal driving section. The second communicating section adds individual identification information for identifying each horizontal driving section to the transferred data, and transfers the data in packet format. The horizontal driving section receives the data packet for it based on the identification information, and performs current driving for a display section. The driving control section adds the individual identification information to the control data to be transferred to each horizontal driving section corresponding to connecting form of the horizontal driving sections, and transfers the control data not concerned with connecting order of the horizontal driving sections. The horizontal driving section side performs a receiving process and lighting operation.

Display and display drive circuit or display drive method

The image display apparatus is provided with a dot matrix of light emitting devices, driver circuitry, and switching circuitry. The dot matrix is a plurality of light emitting devices arranged in an in-line by n-column matrix, and one terminal of each light emitting device in each line is connected to a common source line. Driver circuitry controls light emitting devices active or inactive depending on an input illumination signal. In the active state, switching circuitry floats common source lines, and in the inactive state, discharges all common source lines to ground.

Image display apparatus

A driving circuit in a display apparatus includes a current driving unit for supplying a driving current in a forward direction to a light emitting element based on control data. The current driving unit is furnished with a function of supplying a predetermined current in a reverse direction to the light emitting element. The driving circuit further includes a voltage comparing unit for judging whether a reverse voltage necessary to supply the predetermined current in the reverse direction is smaller than a predetermined voltage. The driving circuit notifies an abnormal condition of the light emitting element based on a judgment by the voltage comparing unit. Consequently, it is possible to detect a light emitting element generating a leak current in a reverse direction of the light emitting element even when the light emitting element is connected to the driving circuit.
