A cleaner cover replacing method includes the steps of detaching a first cleaner cover from a cleaner case; placing an attachment into fitted engagement with claw hooking parts of the cleaner case, placing a second cleaner cover on the cleaner case, and causing a bolt to pass through a bolt hole of the second cleaner cover and to threadedly engage with a nut part of the attachment.

Replacement of air cleaner cover

An engine control device includes a governor lever, a centrifugal governor, a control lever operated to oscillate between a low-speed position and a high-speed position, and a governor spring expandedly provided between the control lever and the governor lever. An automatic choke device is connected to a choke valve of a carburetor. A play is provided between the governor lever and the governor spring. The play holds the governor spring in a free state during rotation of the control lever from the low-speed position to the high-speed position by a predetermined angle. A subsidiary spring is provided between a fixed structure and the governor lever so as to constantly urge the governor lever in a direction to open the throttle valve. A spring constant of the subsidiary spring is smaller than that of the governor spring. Thus, there is provided the engine control system with the automatic choke device, which can meticulously control an air/fuel ratio from start of an engine to under-load operation of the engine in accordance with increase and decrease in temperature of the engine.

Engine control system

When an engine rotation speed in an engine for working machine without a governor mechanism is increase-and-decrease-controlled by switching ignition timings at a predetermined rotation speed, the response delay of the engine rotation speed with respect to the throttle opening operation is suppressed. The engine rotation speeds for switching the ignition timings are set to 4000 rpm and 5000 rpm. When the throttle opening is increased, a first ignition timing is advanced stepwise to a second ignition timing at the engine rotation speed of 4000 rpm so as to be switched to a rotation control characteristic Cfor high speed rotation. When the throttle opening is decreased, the second ignition timing is retarded stepwise to the first ignition timing at the engine rotation speed of 5000 rpm so as to be switched to a rotation control characteristic Cfor low speed rotation. The switching timing of the rotation control characteristic is different between at increase and decrease of the throttle opening. The difference can be reduced to a small amount &#x394;TH.

Engine rotation speed controller for working machine

A choke valve control system includes a choke-operating lever for opening and closing a choke valve of a carburetor, a choke spring for biasing the valve in an opening direction, and a damper for controlling the opening motion of the valve to a lower speed, when the choke valve is opened from its fully closed position by a biasing force of the choke spring. The choke-operating lever, the choke spring and the damper are connected to the choke valve of the carburetor. In this choke valve control system, the damper includes a damper housing, a rotor, and a damper oil which is accommodated in a sealed manner in the damper housing and applies a viscosity resistance to the rotation of the rotor, which resistance increases as the viscosity increases with decreasing temperature. Thus, the time required for opening the choke valve can be controlled in accordance with the level of the environmental temperature of an engine, thereby providing the stabilization of the warming operation of the engine and a reduction in fuel consumption.

Control system for choke valve of carburetor

A mixer for a multicylinder gas engine is provided in which a plurality of intake passages extend to a plurality of cylinders. A plurality of gaseous fuel nozzles, each having a nozzle orifice opening in a venturi part of the corresponding intake passage, are provided in a mixer main body. The plurality of gaseous fuel nozzles are connected to a gaseous fuel supply device, wherein a common surge tank housing the plurality of gaseous fuel nozzles and having a fuel intake pipe opening therein is provided on the mixer main body. The fuel intake pipe extends to the gaseous fuel supply device. Intake pressure pulsations that have passed through the gaseous fuel nozzles are attenuated within the surge tank, thereby achieving uniform distribution of a gaseous mixture to each cylinder, minimizes the number of parts, and prevents fluctuations in the fuel concentration of the gaseous mixture.

Mixer for multicylinder gas engine

Electric power is generated with rotation of a flywheel and crankshaft rotated by a starting operation of a recoil starter and supplied for driving and controlling a fuel injection valve, the fuel injection valve is supplied with fuel pressurized by a mechanical pump driven in an interlocked relation to the crankshaft, and control means provides an 'open' instruction to the fuel injection valve driving means in response to at least one of a voltage appearing on a reset input terminal of a microcomputer for controlling the fuel injection valve during resetting of the microcomputer. After completion of the resetting of the microcomputer, the fuel injection valve is controlled so as to cause fuel injection during 'open' valve intervals based on a predetermined fuel injection pattern at predetermined fuel injection timings.
