The present disclosure provides a medical observation device to achieve improvement in functionality resulting from switching of optical elements and miniaturization of the device. The medical observation device includes: an imaging optical system configured to capture an image of a subject; an image sensor configured to photoelectrically convert the image of the subject captured by the imaging optical system; and an element holding frame configured to hold a plurality of optical elements and to be capable of being rotated around a rotation shaft. An axial direction of the rotation shaft is set to a direction orthogonal to an optical axis direction that is a direction of a line from the imaging optical system to the image sensor, and the element holding frame is rotated and thus at least one of the optical elements among the plurality of optical elements is positioned on an optical axis.

Medical observation device and lens barrel of medical observation device

To enable a moving object to be movable even when electromotive driving of the moving object is not possible and prevent inconvenience from occurring during medical procedures. A medical observation device includes: an imaging optical system configured to capture an image of a subject; an image sensor configured to photoelectrically convert the image of the subject captured by the imaging optical system; a driving force transmission mechanism configured to have a transmission gear and to transmit a driving force to a moving object; a manual manipulation knob configured to be manipulated to rotate in an axial rotation direction of a fulcrum shaft and to be capable of moving between a first position and a second position in an axial direction of the fulcrum shaft; a switch gear configured to be connected to the manual manipulation knob and to be integrated with the manual manipulation knob and rotate in the axial rotation direction, and to be integrated with the manual manipulation knob and move in the axial direction between a meshing position and a non-meshing position; and a driving motor configured to give a driving force to the moving object. Meshing of the switch gear and the transmission gear is released at the non-meshing position, and the switch gear and the transmission gear mesh with each other at the meshing position.

A light quantity adjuster includes: a blade member forming an aperture; a stepping motor that moves the blade member to open/close the aperture; and a control section that controls driving of the stepping motor, and increases a rotational speed of the stepping motor after a resistance acting on the stepping motor changes from static friction to dynamical friction in case of closing the aperture.

Imaging apparatus

A diaphragm unit includes: a plate-like base member having an optical path hole formed therein; diaphragm blades overlapping with each other in an optical axis direction of an optical system, being supported by the base member so as to be movable in directions in which the diaphragm blades approach and depart from the optical axis along a plan perpendicular to the optical axis, and forming a diaphragm opening centered on the optical axis inside the optical path hole; and a driving mechanism adjusting the size of the diaphragm opening by moving the diaphragm blades.

A diaphragm unit includes: a pair of straight-moving diaphragm blades and a pair of swing diaphragm blades overlapping with each other in an optical axis direction of an optical system and forming a diaphragm opening centered on the optical axis by moving in directions in which the diaphragm blades get close to and apart from the optical axis along a plane perpendicular to the optical axis; a receiving member receiving the pair of straight-moving diaphragm blades and the pair of swing diaphragm blades; and a diaphragm driving mechanism adjusting the size of the diaphragm opening by moving the diaphragm blades. The receiving member has a pair of side surfaces facing each other in the optical axis direction. One and the other of the straight-moving diaphragm blades and one and the other of the swing diaphragm blades are disposed on one and the other of the side surfaces, respectively.

Diaphragm unit, light intensity adjusting device, lens barrel, and imaging apparatus

A light amount adjuster for adjusting a size of a diaphragm aperture on an optical axis of an optical system, includes: a pair of straight moving diaphragm blades so provided at a portion to which the diaphragm aperture is opposed as to slide along a plane orthogonal to the optical axis in a direction of getting close to or separated from the optical axis; a pair of swing diaphragm blades so provided at a portion to which the diaphragm aperture is opposed as to swing about a center axis in parallel to the optical axis in a direction of getting close to or separated from the optical axis; and a drive mechanism for adjusting the size of the diaphragm aperture by sliding the pair of straight moving diaphragm blades and by allowing the pair of swing diaphragm blades to swing.
