An electronic map display device is provided. The device acquires electronic maps and displays the electronic maps, each electronic map being acquired per acquisition unit. The electronic map display device may include a map information display determiner for determining whether the electronic map is currently available per acquisition unit, and a map information display interface for displaying information relating to the electronic map per the acquisition unit depending on whether the electronic map is currently available. The map information display interface varies the exterior edge of each of the electronic maps depending on the status of the electronic map.

A route planning apparatus is provided. The apparatus may include a display, a user interface, a caution information reader, and a route verifier. The display displays a user-scheduled route on a map. The user interface accepts an input of time and date to travel on the route. The caution information reader reads caution information having influence on the travel and associated with position, and time and date. The route verifier verifies whether the travel on the route is available based on one or more positions, and times and dates at which the caution information read by the caution information reader indicates, one or more positions on the route, and the inputted travel time and date.

Route planning apparatus and route plan verifying method

A ship alarm display device that displays a plurality of sets of alarm information to be easily understood is provided. An alarm information acquiring module acquires the alarm information from apparatuses installed in a ship. A transmission source classification list memory stores transmission source classification lists obtained by associating each apparatus with a transmission source category. An importance list memory stores importance lists obtained by associating the alarm information with a level of importance. A display target specifying module specifies the transmission category and the level of importance as a display target. An information selecting module selects the alarm information corresponding to the specified display target from the plurality of sets of alarm information stored in memory, based on the transmission source classification lists and the importance lists. An alarm information displaying module displays only the selected alarm information in a list, on a display unit.
