An ejector includes a nozzle, a needle and a body. The nozzle reduces a pressure of a fluid and discharges the fluid as an injected fluid from a fluid injection port. The body includes a fluid suction port and a pressure increasing portion. The fluid suction port draws, as a suction fluid, a fluid from an outside of the body by using a suction force generated by the injected fluid. The pressure increasing portion increases a pressure of a mixture of the injected fluid and the suction fluid. The nozzle includes a throat portion and a nozzle-side tapered portion. The throat portion reduces a passage cross-sectional area of the fluid passage to be smallest in the fluid passage at the throat portion. The nozzle-side tapered portion expands the passage cross-sectional area of the fluid passage toward the downstream side in the flow direction of the fluid. In an axial cross section, an injection-flow spread angle formed on the downstream side in the flow direction of the fluid between a central axis and a tangent line of an injection-flow center line at the fluid injection port is 0&#xb0; or greater.

Ejector

When an ejector having a variable nozzle and a variable throttle mechanism are integrated together as an ejector module, a nozzle-side central axis CLand a decompression-side driving mechanism have a twisted positional relationship, if the nozzle-side central axis CLis defined as a central axis of a nozzle-side driving mechanism in a displacement direction in which the nozzle-side driving mechanism of the ejector having the variable nozzle displaces a needle valve, and the decompression-side central axis CLis defined as a central axis of a decompression-side driving mechanism in a displacement direction in which the decompression-side driving mechanism of the variable throttle mechanism displaces a throttle valve. When viewed from the central axis direction of one of the nozzle-side central axis CLand the decompression-side central axis CL, a driving portion corresponding to the one central axis is disposed to overlap with the other central axis.

Ejector module

An ejector refrigeration cycle includes a bypass passage that guides a refrigerant on an outlet side of an evaporator drawn from a refrigerant suction port of an ejector to a suction port side of a compressor while bypassing a diffuser passage of the ejector. A differential pressure regulating valve is disposed as a bypass flow-rate adjustment device that adjusts a bypass flow rate of the refrigerant circulating though the bypass passage. An enlarged portion for gradually enlarging the passage area is formed at a most downstream part of the refrigerant flow in the bypass passage. During a low-load operation, the differential pressure regulating valve increases the bypass flow rate, thereby allowing the refrigerant to flow into the evaporator connected to the upstream side of a refrigerant suction port using the suction effect of the compressor.

Ejector and ejector refrigeration cycle

A power element has a closed space provided between a first diaphragm and a second diaphragm. An interposing member is interposed between the first diaphragm and the second diaphragm. Accordingly, a size of the closed space can be optionally determined in accordance with a shape such as a thickness of the interposing member. Therefore, limitations on the size of the closed space due to a shape of the first diaphragm and the second diaphragm can be reduced. Accordingly, limitations on the size of a fluid enclosing space due to a shape of a diagram can be reduced.

Expansion valve

A temperature sensitive rod is communicated with a diaphragm that is displaceable in response to a pressure difference between an internal pressure of a sealed space, in which a temperature sensitive medium is sealed, and a pressure of a low pressure refrigerant outputted from an evaporator. A blind hole, which opens to the sealed space, is formed in an inside of the temperature sensitive rod. The temperature sensitive medium is a mixture gas of the refrigerant and an inert gas. A mixing ratio of the inert gas in the temperature sensitive medium corresponds to a ratio of an equivalent diameter of the blind hole relative to a depth of the blind hole in such a manner that a time constant of heat conduction from the temperature sensitive rod to the temperature sensitive medium is kept within a desired time constant range.
