A surface treatment agent containing: (A) a water repellent oil repellent polymer having a repeating unit derived from at least one water repellent oil repellent monomer selected from (A1) fluorine-containing monomers and (A2) non-fluorine monomers having a hydrocarbon group with 7-40 carbon atoms; (B) a silicone polymer represented by formula RSi—O—[—Si(R)—O—]—[—Si(R)(R)—O—]—SiR(wherein each Rgroup independently represents hydrogen, alkyl having 1-20 carbon atoms, aryl having 6-20 carbon atoms or alkoxy having 1-4 carbon atoms; each Rindependently represents a saturated hydrocarbon group having 23-40 carbon atoms; each Rindependently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6-20 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1-4 carbon atoms or a saturated hydrocarbon group having 23-40 carbon atoms; a represents an integer of 0 or more; b represents an integer of 1 or more; and (a+b) is 10-200); and (C) a liquid medium.

Surface treatment agent

A water- and oil-repellent agent that is an aqueous dispersion containing (A) a fluorine-free polymer having repeating units derived from a fluorine-free (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer, (B) a wax, (C) an aqueous medium, and (D) an emulsifier. The fluorine-free (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer is a compound represented by the formula CH&#x2550;CA-C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;O-Awhere Ais a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and Ais a linear or branched Chydrocarbon group. The emulsifier includes a sorbitan ester and another emulsifier, and the emulsifier has a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) of 7.5 to 13.5. Also disclosed is a method of producing the water- and oil-repellent agent and a method of producing a treated substrate by applying the water- and oil-repellent agent to a substrate.

Provided is an aqueous emulsion composition which has excellent chemical stability (stability with respect to impurities) and excellent mechanical stability. Disclosed is an aqueous emulsion composition which contains: (A) a polymer that contains a fluoroalkyl group; and (B) a surfactant that contains (B1) an amidoamine surfactant having an amide group and an amino group, and (B2) a nonionic surfactant. It is preferable that the surfactant does not contain a monool having an unsaturated triple bond or an alkylene oxide addition product of a polyol.

Aqueous emulsion composition

Provided is a water and oil repellent composition that provides water and oil repellency that is excellent for base materials such as textile products, and is excellent for preventing adhesion of polymers on rolls during processing. The present invention involves a method for manufacturing a fluorine-containing polymer comprising a first polymer formed from a first monomer, and a second polymer formed from a second monomer. The manufacturing method includes: (I) a step for obtaining the first polymer by polymerizing the first monomer; and (II) a step for obtaining the second polymer by preparing and polymerizing the second monomer in the presence of the first polymer. The first monomer and/or the second monomer includes a fluorine-containing monomer (a), and both the first monomer and the second monomer include a halogenated olefin (b).
