The controller is configured to access a webpages through a web-browser, and store corresponding URLs and accessed screens of the webpages. While displaying a broadcast program in the first area, the controller displays a thumbnail list in a second area, the thumbnail list including thumbnails generated from the accessed screens, wherein the second area is overlaps at least a portion of the first area. The controller displays, in response to a command signal for selecting a thumbnail, the corresponding webpage on an entire screen of the display through the web-browser, based on the corresponding URL stored in the memory.

Display apparatus for processing multiple applications and method for controlling the same

In addition, when the related content information is selected by the pointer, the controller further controls the display to display a thumbnail image corresponding to the another content, a first item to identify a first source providing the another content and the second item to identify a second source providing the another content, the second source is different from the first source.

A method of controlling a display apparatus including receiving, via a receiving unit, first metadata corresponding to contents to be displayed on the display apparatus from at least a first source externally connected to the display apparatus, said first metadata including channel information and broadcast programs to be broadcast for each channel included in the channel information; matching, via a controller thumbnail images with the broadcast programs; generating, via the controller, an enhanced program guide including a designated time zone indicating when a broadcast program is to be broadcast and a corresponding matched thumbnail image; and displaying via the display apparatus, the enhanced program guide based on a selection signal requesting the enhanced program guide be displayed.
