A control method is provided for an internal combustion engine which includes a turbocharger, and which is connected to a stepped automatic transmission. The control method includes judging whether or not an upshift of the automatic transmission is performed; performing a first torque down control by an ignition timing retard of the internal combustion engine during the upshift; judging whether or not a predicted torque estimated from a driving condition of the internal combustion engine is greater than a target torque at an end of the upshift; and performing a second torque down control by the ignition timing retard of the internal combustion engine when the predicted torque is greater than the target torque.

Control method and control device for internal combustion engine

An internal-combustion engine includes a variable compression ratio mechanism for changing a mechanical compression ratio, and a variable valve timing mechanism for changing the valve timing of an intake valve. When acceleration is demanded, a target compression ratio is set to a lower compression ratio than the target value in a normal condition, and the valve timing is set to the advance angle side. Since the allowable combustion pressure decreases in a prescribed intermediate compression ratio region, if an actual compression ratio exists in the prescribed intermediate compression ratio region in the course of a compression ratio change accompanying acceleration, the variable compression ratio mechanism restricts the intake pressure by increasing a degree of opening of a wastegate valve or reducing a degree of opening of a throttle valve, for example.

Internal-combustion engine control method and control device

An output control device includes a vehicle speed detection unit configured to detect a vehicle speed, an accelerator pedal opening detection unit configured to detect an accelerator pedal opening, a basic correction amount calculation unit and a first basic throttle opening calculation unit. The basic correction amount calculation unit calculates a basic correction amount, which increases with an increase in the vehicle speed. The first basic throttle opening calculation unit calculates a basic throttle opening based on the basic correction amount and the values of two virtual throttle openings.

Output control device for vehicle

In a vehicle in which an output of an engine is transmitted to a driving wheel through a transmission, an engine control device stops fuel injection of the engine, when engine rotational speed is above a preset specific fuel cut-off rotational speed while the vehicle is coasting; and restarts the fuel injection, when the engine rotational speed falls below a recovery rotational speed while the fuel injection is stopped, wherein the recovery rotational speed is below the specific fuel cut-off rotational speed. When determining that an operating state allows the stop and restart of fuel injection to be repeated, the engine control device sets a hunting-preventing fuel cut-off rotational speed based on an input shaft rotational speed of the transmission, wherein the hunting-preventing fuel cut-off rotational speed replaces the specific fuel cut-off rotational speed.

Engine control device

In an engine output control apparatus of a power train employing an engine and an automatic transmission, capable of executing engine output control for excessive torque input prevention engine torque limiting action and for a shift speed control of the transmission, at least two different kinds of engine output control systems having control characteristics differing from each other, are provided. A controller selectively uses these engine output control systems depending on a power-train operating condition, such that a first one of the engine output control systems having a superior transient response is used for the engine output control for shift response control during shifting, and that a second one of the engine output control systems having a superior steady-state stability is used for the engine output control for excessive torque input prevention engine torque limiting action during non-shifting.
