At least a part of a periphery of a valve body () of the throttle valve is close to the flow-rate regulator () until the valve body () is rotated from an initial position corresponding to an idling speed at a predetermined rotation angle.

Air supply device of stratified scavenging two-cycle engine

A stratified scavenging two-stroke engine includes: a crankcase (); a cylinder () being provided with a cylinder bore (); an intake passage () supplying air-fuel mixture into the crankcase () via an intake port (A); a scavenging passage () supplying the air-fuel mixture from the crankcase () into the cylinder bore () via a scavenging port (A); a leading-air passage () supplying leading air into the scavenging passage (); and an exhaust passage () being disposed on an opposite side of the intake passage () with the cylinder bore () interposed therebetween, the exhaust passage () discharging exhaust gas via an exhaust port, in which the scavenging passage () includes a main passage () provided near the exhaust port and a sub passage () provided near the intake port (A), the main passage () and the sub passage () are isolated from each other by a partition () that extends over substantially an entire length of the main passage () and the sub passage (), the sub passage () includes an air-fuel mixture inlet () provided at a position corresponding to an opening end () of the cylinder bore () that faces the crankcase (), and the inlet () functions as a flow rate adjuster having a throttle effect.

Stratified scavenging two-stroke engine

An engine blower includes a centrifugal blower, an engine, and a frame for supporting the centrifugal blower. The centrifugal blower is supported by a back support of the frame via a flexible vibration-proofing section while being connected to the back support via a belt-shaped stopper. An engaging hole is provided on at least one of the centrifugal blower and the back support, and a thick engaging section is provided on at least one end of the stopper for being engaged with the engaging hole. When the stopper is inserted into the engaging hole and the one end of the stopper is pulled, the engaging section is engaged with the engaging hole. By further pulling the one end of the stopper, the engaging section is tightly buried into the engaging hole. Thus, the stopper can be reliably attached to the centrifugal blower or the back support.

The present invention relates to a start device for a small-sized engine, which is capable of starting the small-sized engine in an appropriate starting time and is ultimately reduced in size and weight by a rational design. A plurality of secondary batteries is used as a power source required to drive a small-sized electric motor and a small-sized engine, and has a considerably large capacity and an extremely small size. A speed reduction mechanism that has a reduction ratio of 1/30 to 1/90 is disposed between the electric motor and a buffer/power storage section. The start device starts the engine in an extremely short time of 0.4 to 1.3 seconds. Within this range of staring time of the engine, an operator has no uncomfortable feelings.

An operation unit is provided with an engine operation box storing a control operation portion controlling an opening degree of a throttle valve and a start switch terminal connected to a start motor; a throttle operating lever for controlling the opening degree from an idle position to a full-open position; and a start switch connecting and disconnecting the start switch terminal, wherein the throttle operating lever has a switch shielding portion which enables to operate the start switch without an interference between the throttle operating lever and an operating portion of the start switch when the throttle operating lever is at an idle position, and disables to operate the start switch by shielding at least a part of the operating portion of the start switch by means of a part of the throttle operating lever when the throttle operating lever is operated to be apart from the idle position.

Operation unit of engine

The invention provides an operation unit of an engine provided with a throttle operating lever operating a throttle valve of the engine from an idle position to a full-open position, two terminals connected to an inner side of a drive circuit of a start motor, a contact element interposed between the terminals and setting a region between both the terminals to a conduction state or a non-conduction state, and a start switch making the region between the terminals conductive or non-conductive, the operation unit further comprising interlocking means for relatively moving a contact position between at least one terminal of the two terminals and the contact element in correspondence to an operation amount of the throttle operating lever, and the terminals and the contact element being brought into contact with each other only at a time when the throttle operating lever is at an idle position.
