Plural weft fascia portions wider than wefts are arranged in a ground texture formed in a lattice shape by warps and the wefts so as to be spaced from each other from one end of the clothing fabric toward the other end thereof in the vertical direction, and the arrangement intervals between the weft fascia portions adjacent to each other in the vertical direction are gradually decreased from one end of the clothing fabric toward the other end in the vertical direction, and then are gradually increased from the minimum portion.

A backrest for a chair, including a bag-like upholstery material, with which a back frame is upholstered by fitting the bag-like upholstery material onto the back frame that has a pair of right and left side frames extending in an up-down direction. A low-friction member is disposed on at least one of an inner surface of both side portions of the upholstery material and an outer surface of the right and left side frames contacting the inner surface of the side portions of the upholstery material, the low-friction member being configured to reduce a sliding resistance in an area of contact between the upholstery material and the side frames.

Backrest for chair

A stretching structure in which upholstery material can be installed in a frame body, enough deflection allowance of the upholstery material can be ensured. Upholstery material () is installed on the surface of a frame body () in a closed-loop shape, and is used as the seat or the backrest of a chair. A cross-sectional shape perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of each of the sections of the frame body () is provided with an upholstery material receiving section () having an engaging groove () which is open to the back surface side, and a U-shape section () having a recessed groove () which is open to the surface side inward more than the engaging groove (). The upholstery material () is wound from the surface of the frame body () to the back surface side along the outer peripheral surface, and the edge section is fitted in the engaging groove () and tied up, thereby installing the upholstery material () in such a manner as to cover the surface of the U-shape section ().
