A connector includes a lock member attached to a housing and configured to lock a terminal inside the housing. The lock member includes: a substantially plate-shaped base portion located in an outside of the housing; a first attachment portion provided in the base portion and configured to attach the lock member to the housing; and a locking portion configured to lock the terminal so that the terminal is held inside the housing. The base portion includes a first extension portion formed to extend, from the first attachment portion, in a longitudinal direction of the housing. The first extension portion includes a second attachment portion formed to attach the lock member to the housing.

Connector

A connector is provided which includes a main body, terminals mounted in the body, and a reinforcing metal fitting mounted in the body. The fitting includes a body secured to the mating guide portion, a pair of left and right connecting arm portions connected to the base end of the body, and a pair of left and right contact arm portions connected to the base end of the connecting arm portions. The fitting further includes a first connecting leg portion connected to a connecting pad on a board being connected at the upper end of the first connecting leg portion to the lower end or base end of each contact arm portion so as to have a substantially L-shaped profile when viewed from a side of the connector.

A shield terminal includes a contact part surrounding a center terminal and a dielectric body and configured to come into contact with a terminal of a target connector, a connecting part surrounding a shield wire and connected to the shield wire, and a catching-target part surrounding a coaxial cable. The contact part, the connecting part, and the catching-target part are bent and formed integrally into a cylindrical shape to surround a center line of the coaxial cable. A housing includes, inside an insertion hole, a catching face configured to come into contact with a part of a front edge of the catching-target part to restrict the shield terminal from moving forward.

Electric connector

A connector comprises a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a first connector main body and a plurality of first terminals mounted side by side in the longitudinal direction of the first connector main body on both sides in the transverse direction of the first connector main body. The second connector includes a second connector main body for mating with the first connector main body and a plurality of second terminals mounted side by side in the longitudinal direction of the second connector main body on both sides in the transverse direction of the second connector main body. Each first terminal includes a first contact portion and a second contact portion facing each other. The first contact portion and the second contact portion overlap the corresponding second terminal. The amount of overlap is greater than the amount of clearance in the transverse direction of the first connector main body. Each second terminal is inserted between the first contact portion and the second contact portion of the corresponding first terminal and contacting the first terminal when the first connector main body is mated with the second connector main body.

A board-to-board connector comprises a first connector, a second connector and a switch. The first connector includes a first terminal and a first housing. The first housing includes a recessed portion and a first reinforcing bracket. The second connector includes a second terminal and a second housing. The second housing includes a raised portion and a second reinforcing bracket. The raised portion is insertable into the recessed portion. The switch detects the fit completion of the first connector and the second connector. The switch includes a plurality of switching members, each with the ability to contact another switching member. To signal mating, in one embodiment, an arm mounted on a bracket is pressed against a pad of a circuit board. In another embodiment, a contact portion on one housing contacts two members on the other housing. In another embodiment, the switch includes a connection between terminals disposed on each connector.

Board-to-board connector with mating indicating means

A board-to-board connector has such a configuration that at least one a first reinforcing bracket of a first connector and a second reinforcing bracket of a second connector is provided with a bent portion having a crank shape, viewed from the insertion/removal direction of the first and second connectors. Owing to such a configuration, deformation of the first reinforcing bracket and/or the second reinforcing bracket can be prevented, and a firm engagement state between the first and second reinforcing brackets is achieved. As a result, a strong removal force is required for releasing the engagement state, and a stable engagement between the first connector and the second connector can be maintained.

Board-to-board connector

The board connector () comprises a first connector, including a first housing () capable of accommodating the first terminals (), and a second connector () which is configured to be fitted to the first connector () and including a second housing () capable of accommodating the second terminals (). Both terminals () are configured to come into contact with each other at first contact points () and second contact points (), respectively. Each first terminal is capable of showing a high flexibility and each of the second terminals is showing a high rigidity at either one of the first contact point and the second contact point. Further, each first terminals is capable of showing a high rigidity and each second terminals is capable of showing a high flexibility at different either one of the first contact point and the second contact point.

Board connector

A board-to-board connector comprises a first connector () and a second connector (). The first connector has first terminals () and a first housing (), which has a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape. The first housing is provided with concave insertion portions and first reinforcing brackets (), which are arranged in the concave insertion portions. The second connector has second terminals () configured to make contact with the first terminals, and a second housing () which has a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape. The second housing is provided with convex insertion portions () configured to be inserted in the concave insertion portions, and second reinforcing brackets () arranged in the convex insertion portions and configured to engage with the first reinforcing brackets.

A board-to-board connector comprising a first connector and a second connector is disclosed. The first connector has a first housing mounted on first terminals. The second connector is configured to be engaged, by fitting, with the first connector. The second connector has a second housing mounted on second terminals, which are configured to make contact with the first terminals. At least a part of an entrance end portion a concave guide portion is provided with a sloped guide surface formed therein. Due to the insertion of a second fitting guide portion into a concave guide portion, in such a manner that portions of the second fitting guide portion are brought into abutting contact with the sloped guide surface, the first and second terminals are spaced apart from each other in a state where fitting faces of the first and second housings are even with each other.

A board-to-board connector comprising a first connector and a second connector is disclosed. The first connector has a first housing. Each first fitting guide portion of the first housing is provided with a protrusive sidewall portion configured to define both sides of each concave guide portion of the first housing to be connected to each side wall portion of the first housing and protrude out from a fitting face of each side wall portion of the first housing. The protrusive sidewall portion is provided with a sloped guide surface formed at an entrance end of each concave guide portion of the first housing to be inclined with respect to a longitudinal direction of the first housing.

The board-to-board connector has a configuration in which first stage fitting guides () are arranged on an inner end of side wall portions () of a first housing () of a first connector (), an island portion () is arranged in a concave portion () surrounded by the side wall portions, second stage fitting guides () are arranged on four corners of the first housing, fitting surfaces () of the side wall portions are at the same surface as a fitting surface of the island portion, and a gap between the fitting guides on both side wall portions is set to a predetermined value. Owing to this configuration, a fumbling tight-fitting operation is made easy, and it is thus possible to complete the tight-fitting operation in a short period of time and in an accurate manner. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a board to board connector which has good operability and high reliability.
