Provided is a sensor network system including sensor master devices (A toD) which receive detection information obtained by sensors (A toF) through wireless communication, a data server () which acquires the detection information from the sensor master devices (A toD) through power line communication, and notification devices (A,B) which receive notification information from the data server () to perform notification, in which the sensor master devices (A toD) are connected to the sensors (A toF) and the notification devices (A,B), and the data server () determines an object to be notified in accordance with, for example, a detection position which is detection information for at least one of an object to be notified and notification contents, on the basis of the acquired detection information.

A charging apparatus that enables power line communication to be performed even via a charging apparatus. This charging apparatus is provided in a vehicle having an electrical storage apparatus that stores power supplied to a power supply inlet, a wheel driving section that rotates a wheel by means of power stored in the electrical storage apparatus, and an in-vehicle device that is connected to the storage apparatus via a power line; and has an AC/DC conversion section that converts power supplied from the power supply inlet from alternating-current to direct-current and outputs this to the electrical storage apparatus, and a capacitor that causes a power line communication signal input from the power supply inlet to bypass the AC/DC conversion section.

A terminating device enables power line communication to be performed while suppressing degradation of the communication quality without decreasing the communication efficiency. The terminating device includes power supply plugs, a terminating circuit, a changeover switch, and power jack terminals, which are housed in an adapter case. The terminating circuit has an impedance corresponding to the impedance between power lines in the used frequency band of power line communication and is connected or disconnected between the power supply plugs by the changeover switch.
