A contents distribution system distributes contents to the reproduction terminals (). A contents distribution system comprises a first contents distribution server () and one or more contents storage servers (). This system makes it possible that the CM contents recorded in each of CM distribution servers () is distributed to multiple CM storage servers () and the multiple CM storage servers () distribute the CM contents to the reproduction terminals (). Using multiple CM storage servers (), the processing load of CM distribution can be shared. Compared with the case in which the CM distribution server () directly distributes CM to the reproduction terminals (), the processing load of each of CM distribution servers () can be reduced.

Content distribution system

Disclosed is a relay apparatus including a video buffer control unit that controls a video buffer according to a control instruction received by an instruction receiving unit, a threshold set by a threshold setting unit, and a timing set by a timing generation unit. The video buffer control unit controls the video buffer for each segment, according to a result of analysis by a segment interpretation unit.
