A secondary battery suitable for a portable information terminal or a wearable device is provided. An electronic device having a novel structure which can have various forms and a secondary battery that fits the forms of the electronic device are provided. In the secondary battery, sealing is performed using a film provided with depressions or projections that ease stress on the film due to application of external force. A pattern of depressions or projections is formed on the film by pressing, e.g., embossing.

Secondary battery and electronic device

A battery control circuit with a novel structure, a battery protection circuit with a novel structure, and a power storage device including either of the battery circuits are provided. The power storage device includes a first circuit portion, a second circuit portion, a third circuit portion, and a secondary battery; the first circuit portion has a function of controlling charging of the secondary battery; the first circuit portion has a function of supplying the start time and the end time of the charging of the secondary battery to the third circuit portion; the second circuit portion has functions of generating a first voltage and a first current and supplying them to the third circuit portion; the third circuit portion has a function of generating a second voltage by charging the first current in a capacitor; and the third circuit portion has a function of comparing the first voltage and the second voltage.

The sensor unit supplies a sensor signal, the first memory unit retains the sensor signal, the second memory unit retains standard data and allowable difference information, the determination unit compares the sensor signal with the standard data, and the determination unit supplies a control signal in the case where a difference between the sensor signal and the standard data exceeds the allowable difference information.

Power storage device, method for manufacturing power storage device, and electronic device

In the case where a film, which has lower strength than a metal can, is used as an exterior body of a secondary battery, a current collector provided in a region surrounded by the exterior body, an active material layer provided on a surface of the current collector, or the like might be damaged when force is externally applied to the secondary battery. A secondary battery which is resistant to external force in obtained. An opening is provided in a central portion of the secondary battery, and a terminal is formed in the opening. An outer edge of the secondary battery is fixed by thermocompression bonding. In addition, the central portion of the secondary battery is fixed by thermocompression bonding, so that the amount of bending is limited even when the outer edge portion of the secondary battery is bent.

Electronic device including secondary battery

A battery module with high impact resistance is provided. A battery module using an elastic body such as rubber for its exterior body covering a battery is provided. A bendable battery module is provided. As the exterior body covering a battery, an elastic body such as rubber is used, and the exterior body is molded in two steps. First, a first portion provided with a depression in which a battery is stored is molded using a first mold. Next, a battery is inserted into the first portion. Subsequently, second molding is performed using a second mold so as to fill an opening of the depression in the first portion, so that a second portion is formed. The second portion serves as a cover for closing the opening of the depression in the first portion. The second portion is formed in contact with part of the electrodes in the battery and part of an end portion of the second exterior body in the battery.

The exterior body comprises a first exterior film and a second exterior film. A region comprising reduced graphene oxide lies between the first exterior film and the second exterior film. The graphene oxide preferably comprises a region where the concentration of oxygen is higher than or equal to 2 atomic percent and lower than or equal to 20 atomic percent.

A solid-state secondary battery with high safety is provided. The solid-state secondary battery includes a first film that has a function of releasing and accumulating a lithium ion and is over a negative electrode current collector layer, a second film that has a function of transporting a lithium ion and is over the first film, a third film that has a function of releasing and accumulating a lithium ion and is over the second film, and a positive electrode current collector layer over the third film. The total thickness of the first to third films is the same before and after charging.

The display device includes a display panel which has flexibility and can be transformed between a first form and a second form, and a driving means having a function of reversibly changing the display panel between the first form and the second form. The first form is a form in which a display surface of the display panel is suspended, and the second form is a form in which the display panel is stored upward.

The safety is ensured in such a manner that an abnormality of a secondary battery is detected, for example, a phenomenon that lowers the safety of the secondary battery is detected early and a warning is given to a user. A first protection circuit and a second protection circuit are provided for one secondary battery. The first protection circuit includes a memory circuit including a transistor including an oxide semiconductor. Combination of a plurality of protection circuits enables a complementary double protection system in charging, and the safety can be further enhanced.

A concentration of lithium hexafluorophosphate with respect to the electrolyte is more than or equal to 0.01 wt % and less than or equal to 1.9 wt % in a weight ratio.

Power storage device and electronic device

A secondary battery with an exterior body having a novel scaling structure, and a structure of a sealing portion that relaxes a stress of deformation are provided. The secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, an electrolyte solution, and an exterior body enclosing at least part of the positive electrode, at least part of the negative electrode, and the electrolyte solution. The exterior body includes a first region having a shape with a curve, a shape with a wavy line, a shape with an arc, or a shape with a plurality of inflection points, and a second region having the same shape as the first region. The first region is in contact with the second region. Alternatively, the first region has a shape without a straight line. The secondary battery may be flexible, and the exterior body in a region having flexibility may include the first region.

A gel electrolyte and a separator are provided between the positive electrode current collector and the negative electrode current collector. The plurality of positive electrode current collectors and the plurality of negative electrode current collectors are stacked such that surfaces of negative electrodes with which active material layers are not coated or surfaces of positive electrodes with which active material layers are not coated are in contact with each other.
