An apparatus for photographing a moving object has a velocity detector that measures a velocity of an object, at least one camera that has an image sensor and is located so as to capture the object, an operating processor that calculates a photograph point in accordance with resolution required for an object image, a camera controller that controls the camera on the basis of a detected velocity so as to photograph the object when the object passes the photograph point, and an image transmitting processor that transmits image data, obtained by the camera, outside. The operating processor calculates the photograph point by using an object-resolution conversion diagram. The object-resolution conversion diagram represents a correspondence relationship between an angle of view, a number of pixels, an object distance, and a resolution.

Method and apparatus for photographing moving object

An image pickup apparatus includes a multifocal optical system having at least two different focal lengths; an image pickup device for converting an optical image formed by the multifocal optical system into an image signal; a first image processor for forming an original image defined by an object image at each focal length of the multifocal optical system with the image signal received from the image pickup device; and a second image processor for trimming the original image formed by the first image processor. An object image of an angle-of-view corresponding to an intermediate focal length between the two focal lengths of the multifocal optical system is complemented by a trimmed image formed by the second image processor.

Image pickup apparatus

A surveying system is provided that comprises a position relation calculating processor and a correspondence obtaining processor. The position relation calculating processor calculates a position relation between a coordinate system to which three-dimensional coordinates of a measurement point refer and a schematic image of a surveying field. Here, the schematic image includes the measurement point. The correspondence obtaining processor obtains a correspondence between the three-dimensional coordinates of the measurement point and the two-dimensional coordinates on the schematic image, corresponding to the measurement point.

Surveying system

A surveying system that comprises a position relation calculating processor, a correspondence establishing processor, and an image processor is provided. The position relation calculating processor calculates a positional relation between a coordinate system to which measurement information of a measurement point refers and an image of a surveying field, where a staking point is included. The correspondence establishing processor establishes correspondence between three-dimensional position information of the staking point and two-dimensional position information of a point corresponding to the staking point on the schematic image. The image processor superimposes a symbol that indicates the position of the staking point on the schematic image in accordance with the above correspondence.

An automatic surveying system is provided that comprises a surveying device, a collinear-line calculating processor, a sighting direction control processor, and an object-point searching processor. The collinear line calculating processor obtains a collinear line for an arbitrarily designated point on a schematic image of which the positional relation to the surveying device is known. The sighting direction control processor controls the surveying device to sight along the collinear line. The object point searching processor searches for an object point where the position of the object point can be determined as a point on the collinear line. This is executed by measuring the sighting direction with the surveying device while carrying out the sighting direction control process. Further, a position obtained by the object point searching processor coincides with an object point that corresponds to the designated point.

An autofocus distance-measuring optical system includes a sighting telescope having an objective lens for sighting an object; an optical distance meter which includes a light-transmitting optical system for transmitting a measuring light via the, and a light-receiving optical system for receiving light reflected by the object; a focus detecting device for detecting a focus state of the sighting telescope; and a controller for controlling the sighting telescope to automatically focus on the object in accordance with the focus state detected by the focus detecting device. The focus detecting device is a phase-difference detection type which detects an in-focus state from a pair of images respectively formed by two light bundles which are passed through two different pupil areas. The two different pupil areas are positioned so as not to interfere with any optical elements of the optical distance meter.

Autofocus distance-measuring optical system

Disclosed is an internal indicator for a viewfinder, wherein the viewfinder includes a viewfinder optical system including an objective optical system, an erecting optical system and an eyepiece optical system, wherein an image formed by the objective optical system is viewed through the eyepiece optical system via the erecting optical system. The internal indicator includes: an information indicating device, positioned in the vicinity of the image formed by the objective optical system, for indicating photographic information that is viewed through the eyepiece optical system; and an optical element positioned in a light path, the light path extending from the information indicating device to an exit pupil of the viewfinder optical system. The optical element is formed so that a refracting power of the optical element in a radial direction towards an optical axis of the eyepiece optical system is different from a refracting power of the optical element in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction.

Internal indicator of a viewfinder

A surveying instrument is provided having a sighting telescope and a distance measuring device. The sighting telescope has a focusing lens group which is moveable to focus an object to be measured. The distance measuring device measures a distance between the object and the surveying instrument. A focusing operation of the sighting telescope is carried out to move the focusing lens group to a focal position of the object in accordance with the distance between the object and the surveying instrument measured by the distance measuring device.

Surveying instrument having an automatic focusing device

A scanning optical system for scanning an object surface includes a light emitting device for emitting a beam of light and a deflection mirror rotatable to deflect the beam emitted by the light emitting device, and to scan within a predetermined scanning angle zone along a main scanning plane. The beam incident to the deflection mirror is inclined in a direction of an auxiliary scanning, a direction of incidence of the beam onto the deflection mirror intersects a rotational axis of said deflection mirror, and the direction of the beam is orthogonal to a reflection surface of the deflection mirror, when viewed in the main scanning plane as the beam reaches the center of the predetermined scanning angle zone. A curved mirror having power at least in the main scanning plane, and a toric lens positioned between the curved mirror and the object surface and having power at least in the auxiliary scanning direction are also provided.

Laser scanning device

An optical scanner including a light source which is turned ON and OFF in accordance with drawing data. A hologram deflector, made of a rotatable planar hologram disc, provided with a plurality of hologram facets through which light emitted from the light source passes, is rotated to scan an image surface with light emitted from the light source. An optical detector detects light passing in a scanning direction through at least a first reference point, for the commencement of the scanning, and a second reference point, for the completion of the scanning. A scanning time detector detects a scanning time period in which the light deflected by each hologram facet of the hologram disc, passes the first reference point and reaches the second reference point. Finally, a frequency varying device varies the frequency of the light source for each hologram facet in accordance with a unique scanning time period directed by the scanning time detector for each hologram facet.

Apparatus for correcting scanning position in optical scanner

A scope apparatus is provided with an image forming optical system and a condenser lens on the exit side of the image forming optical system. The condenser lens is positioned so that a convex exit surface thereof is disposed in the vicinity of the image plane of the image forming optical system.

Scope

A projector has projecting optical systems. The projecting optical systems have image formers and projecting lenses for projecting the images onto a screen. The optical axes of the projecting lenses are intersected with each other on the side of the screen. The image formers are arranged such that an image surface of each image former is coincident with the screen in accordance with Scheimpflug's rule.

An improved inner sealing material, which is fitted in a cap of a container has basically a membrane layer having at least a metal layer and a reseal layer having at least an elastic sheet layer, with said membrane and reseal layers being superposed in such a way that one can be separated from the other. The topmost part of the membrane layer is formed of a release layer that is made of a mixture of an acrylic resin and a chlorinated vinyl acetate base resin and which is overlaid with an adhesive layer made of a chlorinated polypropylene base resin whereas the bottommost part of the reseal layer has a polypropylene base resin layer. The inner sealing material can be subjected to high-frequency sealing without losing the inherent capability of assuring smooth separation between the membrane and reseal layers.

A mechanism for adjusting the diopter setting of a finder assembly which has an objective optical system and an eyepiece optical system, includes an object side image forming position adjusting device which adjusts the position where an image is to be formed by the objective optical system. The mechanism effectively compensates for any change that occurs in the position where an image is formed by the objective optical system due to temperature or humidity variations. Thus, the problem of plastic lenses having their focal lengths extended in a hot and humid environment is solved by the invention.
