The present invention provides a stereoscopic image display apparatus. The stereoscopic image display apparatus includes a first projection element group, a second projection element group, and a reflecting optical system. The first projection element group includes a plurality of first projection elements operable to project first light fluxes in a first direction. The second projection element group includes a plurality of second projection elements operable to project second light fluxes in a second direction which is different from the first direction and in which the second light fluxes are directed to the first light fluxes. The reflecting optical system is operable to reflect the second light fluxes toward the first direction.

A printed wiring board includes a glass substrate provided with through-holes, conductive patterns provided on both surfaces of said glass substrate in such a manner as to be made conductive to each other via said through-holes, and a sealing member composed of a silver paste containing an epoxy resin as a binder provided to fill said through-holes. This printed wiring board is advantageous in that circuit parts can be connected to each other without use of any planar special region and moisture does not reach the circuit parts through the printed wiring board. Disclosed herein are a video display and a manufacturing method therefor, more particularly, there is provided a video display including a display panel having a plurality of anodes and cathodes arranged orthogonally to each other so as to form grids, a printed wiring board having a drive circuit with wirings for driving the display panel and a plurality of bumps for electrically connecting the wirings of the drive circuit to the anodes and the cathodes, and an adhesive layer for bonding the display panel and the printed wiring board to form a multilevel structure. With this structure, a large-sized video image with no discontinuities can be displayed, and the thickness of the video display can also be reduced.

Plasma addressed electro-optical display

A plasma driving circuit for sequentially discharging and driving a plurality of plasma channels. The circuit comprises a plurality of complementary switches provided correspondingly to the plasma channels; a constant current source connected in common to each of the complementary switches and supplying a predetermined discharge current thereto; a scanner for sequentially controlling the on/off actions of the complementary switches and distributing the discharge current to the corresponding plasma channels; and a suppressing circuitry included in the output stage of each of the complementary switches and serving to suppress the output of a rush current which results from a capacitive component existent in each of the complementary switches. The suppressing means is a diode element having a capacitive component sufficiently smaller than the capacitive component existent in each complementary switch, and a resistance element is connected in series to the diode element. The resistance value of the resistance element is so optimized as not to limit the discharge current substantially but to be adapted for suppressing the rush current effectively.

An image display apparatus having an A/D converter which samples a television signal a plurality of times in each horizontal effective display period and converts the sampled signal into digital data, and a gradation signal generator combines gradation signals produced in a plurality of horizontal effective display periods according to the digital data to produce a new gradation signal.
