An optical laminate includes: a low-refractive index layer; a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer arranged adjacent to the low-refractive index layer; and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer serving as one outermost layer. The low-refractive index layer has a porosity of 40 vol % or more; the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a storage modulus of elasticity at 23° C. of from 1.0×10(Pa) to 1.0×10(Pa); the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a storage modulus of elasticity at 23° C. of 1.0×10(Pa) or less; a ratio of a thickness of the low-refractive index layer to a total thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layers present in the optical laminate with pressure-sensitive adhesive layers on both surfaces is from 0.10% to 5.00%; and, when the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is arranged outside the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is free from being arranged adjacent to the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.

Optical laminate with double-sided adhesive layer, and optical device

A backlight unit includes: a light source; a light guide plate arranged to face the light source, having an end surface that light from the light source enters; and an emitting surface from which the entered light is emitted; a reflective plate bonded to a back surface side of the light guide plate via a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive film; and a casing having a front portion and a back portion, the casing configured to store the light source, the light guide plate, and the reflective plate. The backlight unit is configured so that light from the light source is free from entering a space between the low-refractive index layer and the reflective plate, or so that light that has entered the space between the low-refractive index layer and the reflective plate from a light source is free from being emitted from the emitting surface of the light guide plate.

Backlight unit and image display device

A backlight unit includes: a light source; a light guide plate having an end surface that is arranged to face the light source, and that light from the light source enters, and an emitting surface from which the entered light is emitted; a casing having a front portion and a back portion, the casing being configured to store the light source and the light guide plate; and an optical pressure-sensitive adhesive film arranged between the front portion of the casing on a light source side and the light guide plate, the optical pressure-sensitive adhesive film being bonded to the light guide plate. The optical pressure-sensitive adhesive film includes a light-absorbing layer, a substrate, a low-refractive index layer, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the stated order from a front portion side of the casing.

Provided is an optical member, which is suppressed from causing a reduction in display quality due to wear or a flaw resulting from its vibration while maintaining the excellent characteristics of its low-refractive index layer. The optical member includes: a light guide plate having an end surface that light from a light source enters and an emitting surface from which the entered light is emitted; and a reflective plate bonded to a side of the light guide plate opposite to the emitting surface via a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive film. The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive film includes a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, a low-refractive index layer, and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer from the light guide plate side. The optical member further includes a surface-treated layer formed on a side of the reflective plate opposite to the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive film.

Optical member, and backlight unit and image display device using said optical member

There is provided an optical member that can achieve a backlight unit excellent in brightness uniformity. The optical member includes: a light guide plate having an end surface that light from a light source enters, an emitting surface from which the entered light is emitted, and a light extraction pattern arranged on a surface opposite to the emitting surface; and a reflective plate bonded to the light guide plate via a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive film. An outer edge of the light guide plate is positioned outside an outer edge of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive film, and the outer edge of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive film is positioned outside an outer edge of the light extraction pattern.

Optical member and backlight unit using said optical member, and image display device

Provided is a lighting apparatus having high light entrance efficiency with respect to a light guide plate, and being excellent in tint of light emitted from the light guide plate. The lighting apparatus of the present invention includes: an LED package; a light guide plate, which includes a main surface serving as a light emission surface, and a side surface serving as a light entrance surface, and which is arranged so that the side surface is opposed to the LED package; and a low-refractive index layer arranged between the LED package and the light guide plate.

Illumination device

There is provided an optical laminate with pressure-sensitive adhesive layers on both surfaces, which is suppressed damage from occurring to a low-refractive index layer in vacuum lamination while maintaining excellent characteristics of the low-refractive index layer. An optical laminate with pressure-sensitive adhesive layers on both surfaces according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a substrate; a low-retractive index layer formed on the substrate; a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer arranged so as to be adjacent to the low-refractive index layer; and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer serving as one outermost layer. The low-refractive index layer has a porosity of 50% or more, the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a storage modulus of elasticity of from 1.3×10(Pa) to 1.0×10(Pa), and the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a storage modulus of elasticity of 1.0×10(Pa) or less.

Double-sided adhesive layer-equipped optical laminate

The present invention provides a laminate of a void-containing layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive/adhesive layer that achieves both a pressure-sensitive adhesive force or an adhesive force and a reduction of a tendency of a pressure-sensitive adhesive or an adhesive to penetrate into voids. The first laminate of the present invention includes: a void-containing layer (); and a pressure-sensitive adhesive/adhesive layer (), wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive/adhesive layer () is directly laminated on one or both sides of the void-containing layer (), the void-containing layer () has a void fraction of 35 vol % or more, and, after a heat/humidification durability test of holding at a temperature of 85&#xb0; C. and a relative humidity of 85% for 500 hours, a void remaining ratio of the void-containing layer () is 50 vol % or more before the heat/humidification durability test.
