A pneumatic tire includes 100 parts by mass of a rubber component including from 25-30 parts by mass of a diene rubber having a glass transition temperature of from &#x2212;20&#xb0; C. to &#x2212;40&#xb0; C., having a tertiary amine having an epoxy group as a modifying group, and a vinyl content from 35-45 mass %, 20-35 parts by mass of a diene rubber obtained by reacting a polyorganosiloxane to an active terminal of a diene-based polymer chain having the active terminal formed by making a polymer block A continuous with a polymer block B, the polymer block A including 80-95 mass % of isoprene and 5-20 mass % of an aromatic vinyl, having an active terminal, and having a weight average molecular weight from 500-15,000, the polymer block B including 1,3-butadiene and an aromatic vinyl and an active terminal, the vinyl content lower by from 5-25 mass % than that of the first conjugated diene polymer.

Rubber composition for tires, and pneumatic tire

A rubber composition for a tire contains: per 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber containing 50 parts by mass or greater of an emulsion-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber having a bonded styrene content of 30 mass % or less, from 20 to 40 parts by mass of a butadiene rubber, and WN parts by mass of a natural rubber, WT parts by mass of an aromatic modified terpene resin and WS parts by mass of a silica. A ratio (WN/WS) of a compounded amount of the natural rubber (WN) to a compounded amount of the silica (WS) is from 0.4 to 1.0, and a ratio (WS/WT) of the compounded amount of the silica (WS) to a compounded amount of the aromatic modified terpene resin (WT) is from 2.0 to 5.0.

A rubber composition includes a total of 45 to 65 parts by mass of an aromatic modified terpene resin having a softening point of 100&#xb0; C. or higher and an oil per 100 parts by mass of a rubber component formed from 20 to 40 mass % of a butadiene rubber and from 60 to 80 mass % of another diene rubber containing an emulsion-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber E-SBR1 having a bonded styrene content of 30 mass % or less and an emulsion-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber E-SBR2 having a bonded styrene content of 35 mass % or greater; an amount of the E-SBR1 being from 85 to 92 mass % per 100 mass % of the emulsion-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber; and a ratio (WB/WT) of the compounded amount of the butadiene rubber (WB) to the compounded amount of the aromatic modified terpene resin (WT) being from 0.5 to 3.0.

Rubber composition for tires

A fuel cell which utilizes the biogenic metabolism to produce a high current density is provided. The fuel cell generates electric power in such a way that the fuel is decomposed stepwise by a plurality of enzymes and those electrons formed by oxidation are transferred to the electrode. The enzymes work such that the enzyme activity of the enzyme involved in decomposition in the early stage is smaller than the sum of the enzyme activities of the enzymes involved in decomposition in the later stage. In the case where a coenzyme is involved, the enzyme activity of the oxidase that oxidizes the coenzyme is greater than the sum of the enzyme activities of the enzymes involved in the formation of the reduced form of the coenzyme, out of the enzymes involved in the stepwise decomposition of the fuel.

A cathode and a battery including the cathode are provided. The cathode includes a cathode mixture layer with a cathode active material and a binder. The binder can include, for example, a synthetic rubber latex and a thickener, polyvinylidene fluoride denaturalized by maleic acid and/or the like.

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided and includes a battery element in which a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material layer provided on a positive electrode collector and a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material layer provided on a negative electrode collector are stacked via a separator, and an edge of the negative electrode is disposed so as to protrude along the planar direction relative to an edge of the positive electrode. A positive electrode terminal is connected to the positive electrode, and a negative electrode terminal is connected to the negative electrode. The negative electrode terminal has a contact piece intersecting with the continuous direction of the edge of the negative electrode and intersecting with the planar direction of the negative electrode. The contact piece comprehensively cleaves and contacts a plurality of the edges of the negative electrode.

Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery

A battery capable of improving the constant output discharge capacity is provided. A battery includes a cathode, an anode, and an electrolyte. The cathode contains iron sulfide. The anode contains lithium metal or a lithium alloy. A ratio of a discharge capacity per unit area of the cathode to a discharge capacity per unit area of the anode (the discharge capacity per unit area of the cathode/the discharge capacity per unit area of the anode) is more than 1 and 1.4 or less.

A proton conductor or a single ion conductor having high conductivity and a broad operation temperature range, manufacturing methods thereof and an electrochemical capacitor using it are provided. A compound having a structural part of Chemical formula 1 and a compound having a structure of Chemical formula 2 are included. X represents a protoic dissociation group, R1 represents a component including carbon, R2 and R3 represent a component including carbon or hydrogen, and n is in the range of n&#x2267;1. By action of the &#x2550;NCOH group of the compound having the structure of Chemical formula 2, protons can be dissociated from the compound having the structural part of Chemical formula 1 and migrated. Therefore, water retention becomes unnecessary, and high proton conductivity can be obtained in a broad temperature range. 

Proton conductor, single ion conductor, manufacturing methods thereof, and electrochemical capacitor

Provided are a proton conductor and a single ion conductor both having higher conductivity and a wider operating temperature range, and a method of producing the same. A polymer including a structure portion represented by Chemical Formula 49, and an organic compound represented by Chemical Formula 50 or an organic compound represented by Chemical Formula 51 are included. Each of R1, R2, R3 and R4 is a component including carbon, and each of X1, X2, X3, X4 and X5 is a proton dissociative group. Further, n is n&#x3e;1, and p is p&#x3e;0, and the number of carbons in R4 is within a range from 1 to 4. Proton transfer can be promoted by an ether bond or the proton dissociative group of the organic compound, and the number of protons can be increased by the proton dissociative group of the organic compound, thereby the proton transfer can be smoothed.

An air cell in which at least one end of a tubular air electrode is positively sealed to assure optimum leakage-proofing characteristics. The air cell includes an air electrode in the form of a hollow tube, a holding member abutted against at least one end of the air electrode along the circumference on the inner peripheral surface of the air electrode, a ring-like gasket arranged facing the holding member with the air electrode in-between, the ring-like gasket abutting along the circumference against the outer peripheral surface of the air electrode and a sealant member clinching the ring-like gasket and the air electrode along with the holding member for closing the end of the air electrode. The ring-like gasket seals the sealant member and the air electrode to each other by being clinched by the sealant member and the holding member.
