An exhaust muffler structure to which an exhaust pipe for guiding exhaust gas from an engine to an exhaust muffler is connected, the exhaust muffler structure comprising a catalyst device, included inside the exhaust muffler structure, having a catalyst for purifying the exhaust gas of the engine, wherein the catalyst device has one end connected to the exhaust pipe and is supported inside the exhaust muffler via the exhaust pipe, and a body portion of the catalyst device is supported by a first partition wall having an inner partition wall and an outer partition wall that is on the outer side of the inner partition wall, and the outer partition wall is fixed to the inner wall of the exhaust muffler, and the inner partition wall is fixed to the outer wall of the catalyst device.

Exhaust muffler structure

An exhaust structure for a straddle-type vehicle includes a muffler having an outer tube constituting an outer circumferential member of the muffler; first and second separators defining expansion chambers in the outer tube; a body end member arranged at the downstream end of the outer tube; and glass wool provided on the inner circumference of the outer tube. The muffler further includes a resonator chamber provided in the most downstream portion of the muffler. The resonator chamber is formed by the outer tube, the body end member and the second separator situated closest to the body end member. The surroundings of the resonator chamber are surrounded by the glass wool. Such exhaust structure of a straddle-type vehicle is capable of taking measures against exhaust heat and exhaust sound even with a configuration where there is only one, single resonator chamber.

Exhaust structure of straddle-type vehicle, and vehicle incorporating same

A compact air cleaner device with a secure intake capacity. An internal combustion engine includes the air cleaner device mounted on a vehicle body frame. The air cleaner device includes an air cleaner case having a filter element therein, and being partitioned into a dirty side chamber and a clean side chamber with a plurality of intake ducts for leading an outside air into the dirty side chamber, the intake ducts being provided so as to form a left-right pair. The intake ducts have intake ports opened outside side portions of the air cleaner case. Paths of the intake ducts leading to discharge ports are housed within the dirty side chamber with bent portions. The discharge ports of the intake ducts forming the left-right pair are disposed so as to be oriented to a central side of the air cleaner case and offset from each other in a forward-rearward direction.

Air cleaner device for vehicle

A collecting exhaust pipe has a contour body and partition wall members. The contour body has a pair of contour members connected with each other. The partition wall members are joined to the contour body and sandwiched between the contour members. A plurality of swelling portions, which are swelled toward the other contour member side, are formed on at least one of the contour members so as to form tubular undulations that extend continuously along a plurality of the primary exhaust pipes, and are shaped so as to join on the downstream side of the contour body on at least one outer surface of the contour body. The partition wall members extend from the upstream portion to the downstream side of the contour body, and are joined to the contour body at the location spaced from the top portions of the swelling portions.
