The respective spaces for forming gas passages on the suction side formed on the front and rear side cylinder blocks are assembled together to configure a gas passage on the suction side, and the respective spaces for providing gas passages on the discharge side are connected with each other to configure a gas passage on the discharge side. A gas port leading to the suction side space is provided on one of both cylinder blocks, and a gas port leading to the discharge side space is arranged on the other. A circumferential width of the space for forming a gas passage communicating with the gas port is made larger than a circumferential width of a space for forming a gas passage not communicating with the gas port in the respective cylinder block. Partition walls are contacted with each other in the axial direction when both cylinder blocks are assembled.

Reciprocating-type compressor

At a housing, a first gas passage I and a second gas passage II extending along the axial direction, a third gas passage III formed substantially symmetrical to the first gas passage I relative to a plane containing a drive shaft, a fourth gas passage IV formed substantially symmetrical to the second gas passage II and communicating with the second gas passage II and an external component that includes an intake port and an outlet port are disposed. Either the first gas passage or the third gas passage is made to communicate with the intake port to supply a working fluid to a front-side intake chamber and a rear-side intake chamber, and either the second gas passage or the fourth gas passage is made to communicate with a front-side outlet chamber and a rear-side outlet chamber with the gas passage not in communication with the outlet chambers made to communicate with the outlet port. The specific shapes assumed by the gas passages inside the compressor raise the level of freedom with regard to the positions at which the intake port and the outlet port may be formed in a swash plate compressor.

Swash plate compressor

A reciprocating compressor includes a cylinder block having formed therein a plurality of cylinders, pistons that make reciprocal movement inside the cylinders, a first cylinder head fixed to one end of the cylinder block via a valve plate, a second cylinder head fixed to another end of the cylinder block via a valve plate, a first delivery chamber formed at the first cylinder head, into which a working fluid let out from a first compression space formed toward one end inside each of the cylinders is guided, a second delivery chamber formed at the second cylinder head, into which a working fluid let out from a second compression space formed toward another end inside each of the cylinders is guided, a plurality of delivery passages formed at the cylinder block and an outlet port located at the cylinder block or the cylinder head.

Reciprocating compressor

The lubrication between a shoe and a shoe pocket is improved without having to perform a complicated forming process. In a swash plate compressor comprising a swash plate locked to a drive shaft, which rotates together with the drive shaft, a shoethat slidably contacts the swash plate, a pistonslidably disposed within a bore defining a compression space and a shoe pocketthat is formed as an integrated part of the pistonand slidably fits with the shoe, a beveled portionis formed at an edge of an opening at the shoe pocket. A recessed portionof the shoe pocketis formed so as to achieve a constant curvature, whereas a projecting portionof the shoeis formed so as to achieve at least two different curvatures. The shoe pocket is designed so that a tangent pointof the recessed portionand the beveled portionis set within a strip rangeover which the projecting portionand the recessed portionachieve contact with each other.
