An earth fault detection apparatus includes a switch group configured to switch between a first measurement path including a battery and a capacitor, a second measurement path including the battery, a negative-side insulation resistance, and the capacitor, a third measurement path including the battery, a positive-side insulation resistance, and the capacitor; and a control unit configured to calculate a reference value, based on each charging voltage of the capacitor in each measurement path, and configured to calculate an insulation resistance with reference to a predetermined conversion map, in which the conversion map includes a conversion map corresponding to a capacitance of the capacitor, and the control unit estimates the capacitance of the capacitor, and refers to the conversion map corresponding to the capacitance of the capacitor that has been estimated.

Earth fault detection apparatus

An earth fault detection apparatus includes a switch group configured to switch between a first measurement path including a battery and a capacitor, and a second and third measurement paths including the battery, a positive/negative-side insulation resistance, and the capacitor; a reference resistance and a test switch; and a control unit calculating a first reference value based on each charging voltage in a case where the test switch is opened and the capacitor is charged, and calculating the insulation resistance with reference to a conversion map created to correspond to an electrostatic capacitance between a power supply line and ground, wherein the control unit calculates a second reference value based on each charging voltage in a case where the test switch is closed and the capacitor is charged for a shorter time, and estimates the electrostatic capacitance with reference to a predetermined test conversion map.

A ground fault detection device includes: a capacitor operating as a flying capacitor; a first switching unit for switching between a state in which a positive electrode side of a battery and a first electrode plate of the capacitor are connected via a resistance, and a state in which the first electrode plate of the capacitor is connected to the ground via a measurement resistance; a second switching unit for switching between a state in which a negative electrode side of a high-voltage battery and a second electrode plate of a detection capacitor are connected with a resistance, and a state in which the second electrode plate of the detection capacitor is connected to the ground via the resistance; a control unit for controlling the first switching unit and the second switching unit; and an offset voltage divider circuit that divides and offsets the voltage generated in the measurement resistance.

Ground fault detection device

An earth fault detector has a controller, a capacitor, a positive side power line connected to a positive side of the high voltage battery, a negative side power line a negative side thereof, a positive second side resistance, a negative second side resistance, a positive side C contact switch, and a negative side C contact switch. The positive side C contact switch switches a connection destination of a first end of the detection capacitor to either a path including the positive side power line or a path including the positive second side resistance. The negative side C contact switch switches a connection destination of a second end of the detection capacitor to either a path including the negative side power line or a path including the negative second side resistance. The controller controls switching of a first and second measurement modes.

Earth fault detector with flying capacitor

An insulation detecting device includes a flying capacitor that holds a charged voltage, and a measurement and calculation unit that measures the charged voltage of the flying capacitor and calculates a ground fault resistance formed between a direct-current power supply electrically insulated from a ground, and the ground, based on the measured voltage. The flying capacitor includes one or a plurality of first capacitors, one or a plurality of second capacitors connected with the first capacitor in parallel, and a parallel cancellation switch arranged between the first capacitor and the second capacitor, and which performs parallel connection, and cancellation of the parallel connection, between the first capacitor and the second capacitor. A capacitance of the flying capacitor is variably changed by turning on or turning off of the parallel cancellation switch.
