The present invention provides a seamless capsule for exterminating insect pests, particularly the capsule effective for termites, which hardly affects an ecological system other than the insect pests, such as a human being and domestic animals and useful insects around the human being, has an excellent safety and an excellent transporting rate by insect pests, particularly termites and has an improved exterminating efficiency per number of capsules transported or per unit time, and a method of exterminating insect pests by using the seamless capsule. The present invention relates to a seamless capsule for exterminating insect pests, wherein the seamless capsule imitates an egg of an insect pest and the seamless capsule comprises a content material to be enclosed and a shell film material layer including the content material therein, wherein an active ingredient for exterminating insect pests is contained in the content material and/or the shell film material layer, an egg recognition pheromone is coated on the surface of the seamless capsule, and the seamless capsule has a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.005 to 5 &#x3bc;m.

Seamless capsule for extermination of harmful insects

The present invention provides an insect pest repellant and a method for repelling insect pest using the same, which is highly transported by the insect pests and which effectively exterminates insect pests and does not badly affect ecological system. The present invention is to provide an insect pest repellant comprising, in a mixed condition, (A) a dummy egg imitating an egg of an insect pest, formed from a particulate substrate on which an egg recognizing pheromone is coated, and (B) a particle containing an active component for repelling the insect pest either on a surface or in an inside of the particle.

A seamless capsule comprising a content and a film for coating said content is disclosed. The content is a hydrophilic substance. A viscous liquid having a viscosity of not more than 1000 cp at 100.degree. C. which is scarcely miscible with water is present between the content and the film. There is also disclosed a process for producing a seamless capsule which comprises simultaneously extruding a film solution for the seamless capsule, a hydrophilic substance solution and a viscous liquid which is scarcely miscible with water into a cooling solution from a concentrically arranged multiple nozzle composed of at least three nozzles, an outermost nozzle, an innermost nozzle and at least one intermediate nozzle placed in the middle position between the above nozzles, respectively, the diameter of said nozzle gradually increasing in that order.
