A circuit unit of a drive unit includes a plate-shaped heat sink that extends in a direction perpendicular to an axis of rotation of a motor, and a lower case arranged on a lower side of the heat sink. In the drive unit, a fastening member, which is formed on the lower case, is fastened to a housing, and a height of a fastening surface, which is located on an upper end of the fastening member, is positioned within a height range that spans from a lower surface to an upper surface of the heat sink.

Drive unit

In a drive circuit unit of a vehicle, a first terminal is electrically connected to a drive circuit that performs power conversion, and configured to input or output electric power with respect to the exterior of the drive circuit unit via a first cable. A front protruding portion is formed by extending a portion of a front side surface of the drive circuit unit in a forward direction in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The first terminal is disposed on the front protruding portion in an upwardly facing manner, at a more rearward position than a front end of the front protruding portion.

Vehicle and drive circuit unit

In a drive circuit unit, a seal member includes a first contact part that makes contact with respect to an inner surface of a case wall section which defines a through hole. In a state in which the seal member is arranged inside the through hole, a first distance in an insertion direction of the seal member from an outside end portion of the inner surface to the first contact part is longer than a second distance in the insertion direction between an outside surface of the seal member and a cover.

Drive circuit unit

An electric automobile includes a motor room separated from the cabin and partitioned at the front of the vehicle body and housing a driving motor and a power control unit that drives/controls the driving motor, a pair of side frames extending in the front-back direction of the vehicle body at both sides of the vehicle body; and a unit support frame that encloses the power control unit on four sides and supports the power control unit. The unit frame is suspended from the pair of side frames and is fastened to the pair of side frames. The power control unit is supported by the unit support frame at at least the sides excluding that in the backwards direction of vehicle body of the four sides of the unit support frame.

Electric automobile

A power control unit for an electric vehicle is provided with: a first electric power converter used during traveling and cooled by a first surface of a cooling section; and a second electric power converter used during charging from an electric power source outside the vehicle and cooled by a second surface of the cooling section. The first electric power converter and the second electric power converter are arranged at positions superposed on each other when viewed in the direction from the first surface to the second surface.

Power control unit for electric vehicle with converters cooled by surfaces of a cooling unit

The electric motor control unit of this electric vehicle is disposed at a first primary surface and/or a facing second primary surface of a plate-shaped member disposed along the anterior-posterior direction of the electric vehicle and having a higher rigidity than peripheral components or vehicle-configuring elements. An electricity storage device is connected to the electric motor control unit by means of wiring and is disposed on the vehicle cabin side of the plate-shaped member in the anterior-posterior direction. Furthermore, the electric motor control unit is provided with a low-voltage circuit unit and a high-voltage circuit unit. The high-voltage circuit unit is disposed on the vehicle cabin side in the anterior-posterior direction with respect to the low-voltage circuit unit.

Electric vehicle

An electric automobile in which a power control unit is disposed in a motor room formed at a front section of a vehicle: wherein a charging port or a power supply port is provided on a lateral surface of the front section of the vehicle; a charging connector or a power supply connector for connection to a charging power supply or an external device is attached to the charging port or the power supply port; the charging connector or the power supply connector is disposed in a manner so that a forward end thereof is located rearward of a forward end of a front wheel, and a rearward end thereof is located forward of a dash panel that partitions the motor room and a vehicle cabin; the charging connector or the power supply connector and the power control unit are connected by a cable; and a connection section between the cable and the power control unit is provided forward of the charging connector or the power supply connector.

A power controller for a vehicle includes a power converter module, a three-phase terminal, and a three-phase terminal base. The three-phase terminal includes a first flat portion, a second flat portion, and a curved portion. The first flat portion is connected to a contact surface of a three-phase output terminal to be in contact with the contact surface. The second flat portion is connected to a fixed surface of the three-phase terminal base to be in contact with the fixed surface. The three-phase terminal has a shape such that a predetermined gap is provided between the first flat portion and the contact surface of the three-phase output terminal when the first flat portion is released from the contact surface of the three-phase output terminal while the second flat portion is being in contact with the fixed surface of the three-phase terminal base.
