A motor vehicle door latch device which comprises a body, a latch and a pawl. The pawl engages with the latch to prevent the latch from turning. The pawl comprises a core and a synthetic-resin portion. A releasing portion is disposed on a basic axial portion of a core. The releasing portion is formed together with the core or the synthetic-resin portion in order to reduce the associated manufacturing costs and weight of the device.

A vehicle door latch device which comprises a body having a holding portion, an engagement member pivotally mounted in the holding portion, a cover member closing an opening of the holding portion, and a shaft comprising a shank which passes through a bearing hole of the body and a shank hole of the engagement member, a retaining head and a smaller-diameter shank. Window regulator

A pair of restraining plates are pivotally installed in a housing of a lock unit. The restraining plates have respective cam portions that are arranged to put therebetween a striker when the restraining plates are pivoted in respective given directions. A biasing member is arranged to bias one of the restraining plates to pivot in the given direction thereof, and a transmission mechanism is arranged between the restraining plates to induce a synchronized pivoting of the two restraining plates. Thus, when one of the restraining plates is pivoted in the given direction thereof, the other of the restraining plates is pivoted in the given direction thereof. With this arrangement, once the striker is locked by the lock unit, at least one of the cam portions of the restraining plates is pressed against the striker thereby to suppress or at least minimize undesirable play of the lock unit relative to the striker.

Lock device for use in motor vehicle

A door is pivotally secured to the back of a vehicle. A door opening device comprises a connecting rod including an upper end and a lower end. The upper end of the connecting rod is pivotally mounted to the door. The door opening device further comprises a guide member having a guide slit, a rack bar which slides up and down in the guide slit, a connecting shaft that pivotally connects the lower end of the connecting rod to an upper end of the rack bar and a driving unit for opening and closing the door via the connecting rod. The lower end of the connecting rod is pivotally coupled to the upper end of the rack bar.

Door opening device in a vehicle

A horizontal wall is formed with a notch groove. The notch groove is formed by cutting a tip end of the horizontal wall on the side of the vehicle body substantially along an approaching/separating direction between a vehicle body and a slide door. A connecting unit which turnably connects a plate and a roller holder of a connection assembly to each other is movably inserted into the notch groove. The plate and the horizontal wall of the bracket are fastened to each other in a state where they are superposed on each other.

A curved portion formed on a guide rail is sandwiched between an inscribed projection and a circumscribed projection. Therefore, a carrier plate can turn around a curving center of the inscribed projection. Even when the guide rail is twisted, an element to be guided and the carrier plate can turn in accordance with the twist, a prying force is reduced, and the carrier plate can vertically move smoothly.

Opening and closing apparatus of vehicular opening and closing member

A so-called super-lock condition of a door lock is achieved with a simple and compact construction. The door lock includes first and second lock/unlock mechanisms which establish the super-lock condition when assuming lock conditions respectively. The first and second lock/unlock mechanisms are actuated by an electric actuator mounted to the door lock. In a housing of the electric actuator, there are installed first and second electric motors and first and second operation levers. Due to power of the first electric motor, the first operation lever is switched between an unlock position causing the first lock/unlock mechanism to assume the unlock condition and a lock position causing the first lock/unlock mechanism to assume the lock condition, and due to power of the second electric motor, the second operation lever is switched between an unlock position causing the second lock/unlock mechanism to assume the unlock condition and a lock position causing the second lock/unlock mechanism to assume the lock condition.

Automotive door lock assembly

An automotive door lock assembly comprises a lock/unlock mechanism and an electric actuator which actuates the lock/unlock mechanism. At an initial stage of a door unlocking operation of the electric actuator, a passive lever is shifted from an engaged position where a lock/unlock lever and a sub-lever are engaged to move together to a disengaged position where the engagement between the lock/unlock lever and the sub-lever is canceled. When the passive lever is shifted to the disengaged position, the sub-lever can be quickly shifted to the unlock position by the force of a spring prior to shifting of the lock/unlock lever to the unlock position from the lock position by the electric actuator. With this arrangement, the electric actuator can be made of a relatively low power electric motor, and the lock/unlock mechanism can be quickly shifted to a door unlocking condition upon manipulation of a door handle.

A temporarily holding device for temporarily holding an opening/closing body such as a sliding door for a vehicle in such a manner as to allow it to be moved from a halted state with a required operating force, comprising, in order not to fluctuate the moving resistance remarkably in any condition by providing the moving resistance of a required limit in the form of electrical control while the opening/closing body is being halted, an opening/closing body movably supported on a guiding mechanism, a motor-driven clutch for freely connecting and/or disconnecting the guide mechanism to and/or from an opening/closing body holding mechanism and a clutch driving element for regulating the transmission maintaining force of the motor-driven clutch, wherein the clutch driving element is designed to set the transmission maintaining force of the motor-driven clutch when the opening/closing body is halted with a required opening smaller than when it is in motion.
