Provided is a rotating electrical machine wherein it is possible to sufficiently cool an electronic device attached to a rotor by means of a liquid refrigerant. A rotor for a rotating electrical machine is provided with a shaft supported in a rotatable manner, a rotor core secured to the shaft, an electronic device disposed so as to rotate along with the shaft and the rotor core, a coil wound around the rotor core and connected to the electronic device, and a cooling structure for sequentially cooling the electronic device and the coil by means of a liquid refrigerant supplied from the shaft.

Rotor for rotating electrical machine, and rotating electrical machine provided with said rotor

A rotor for a rotating electrical device includes: a rotor coil that is wound on each of the rotor salient poles; a retaining member that is supported by a rotor core; and an outer magnetic member. The retaining member has a beam bridged between the adjacent rotor salient poles and prevents the rotor coil from falling out. The outer magnetic member is provided in an end of the beam.

Rotor for rotating electrical device

A rotor includes a plurality of salient poles, each of which is formed by a plurality of plate members including steel plates that are stacked together, provided extending in a radial direction and around which a coil is wound. The plurality of salient poles has auxiliary salient poles that protrude from the salient poles between two salient poles that are adjacent to one another. The auxiliary salient poles are formed by only a first plate member that is a portion of plate members that forms the salient poles.

Provided is a rotating electric machine that is capable of sufficiently cooling, by using a liquid coolant, electronic devices which are attached to a rotor. The rotating electric machine is equipped with: a stator for generating a rotating magnetic field; a rotatable rotor that is installed so as to face the stator; diode devices that are connected to coils wound on the rotor and arranged so as to rotate with the rotor; and a cooling structure for cooling the diode devices by means of a cooling oil which is supplied from the inner side in the radial direction with respect to the diode devices.

Motor-generators are incorporated in front wheels and drive the front wheels, respectively. An ECU determines whether or not a steering apparatus including a steering actuator, a tie rod and a steering angle sensor has failed, based on an operation angle of a steering wheel from a steering wheel angle sensor and a steering angle of the front wheels from the steering angle sensor. When the ECU determines that the steering apparatus has failed, the ECU provides torque difference for a torque instruction for the motor-generators in accordance with the operation angle of the steering wheel.

A stator that includes stator windings wound around teeth. A rotor includes: a rotor core; rotor windings wound around main salient poles of the rotor; and a diode serving as a magnetic characteristic adjustment portion that causes magnetic characteristics produced on the main salient poles by electromotive forces induced in the rotor windings to differ in the circumferential direction of the rotor. The rotor has auxiliary salient poles that are each protruded from a side surface of each main salient pole in the circumferential direction. In each of rotor slots formed between the main salient poles adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction, the auxiliary salient poles adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction are connected to each other within the rotor slot. In each rotor slot, at least a portion of the rotor windings is disposed radially inside the auxiliary salient poles.

Electromagnetic rotary electric machine

A stator has multi-phase stator coils that are wound around a stator core by concentrated winding. A rotor has rotor coils that are wound at multiple portions of a rotor core in the circumferential direction and diodes that serve as rectifier unit that is connected to the rotor coils and that varies the magnetic characteristics of the respective rotor coils alternately in the circumferential direction. A rotary electric machine driving system includes a decreasing/increasing pulse superimposing unit that superimposes decreasing pulse current for a pulse-shaped decrease on a q-axis current command for passing currents through the stator coils and that superimposes increasing pulse current for a pulse-shaped increase on a d-axis current command.

An electric motor driving device that drives an electric motor including a field winding, a rotor and a stator, wherein the rotor and the stator each form a field pole by passing a field current through the field winding, includes: a power supply device; a converter including a reactor that at least partially serves as the field winding shared with the electric motor, and configured to receive a voltage from the power supply device to carry out voltage conversion between first and second power lines and to pass the field current through the field winding during voltage conversion operation; an inverter configured to convert a direct-current power received from the converter to an alternating-current power for driving the electric motor; and a controller controlling the converter so that a current flows through the field winding in the same direction both during power running and regeneration of the electric motor.

Electric motor driving device and vehicle equipped with the same

A battery unit includes a casing, bipolar batteries as a plurality of stacked type batteries housed in the casing, and a plug. The bipolar battery is formed by stacking a plurality of battery elements each having sheet electrodes on opposite sides of an electrolyte, and has collectors. The plug is detachably inserted between the bipolar batteries, and electrically connects bipolar batteries.

An electric motor having a wire connection structure includes a stator including a stator coil, a rotor, a motor housing accommodating the stator and the rotor and having a hole, a cable retaining portion formed on the motor housing for retaining end portions of feed cables, a fixing portion formed on the stator, first terminals connected to the stator coil and arranged on the fixing portion in an orientation different from an orientation of the end portions, second terminals each projecting from each of the end portions to face the corresponding first terminal after being inserted into the hole, at least one of the second terminals being bent, and screw members engaged with the fixing portion after being inserted into the corresponding first and second terminals, each of the screw members jointly fastening the first and second terminals to the fixing portion to electrically connect the first and second terminals.

Electric motor having wire connection structure and wire connection method for the same

An electric motor includes a stator having a stator coil, a rotor, a motor housing having a through hole, a fixing portion extending from the stator within the motor housing towards the through hole, a load receiving member inserted into the through hole and having a through bore, a conductive member connected to an electric power supply wire member and arranged at a first end portion of the load receiving member, a first terminal connected to the stator coil and provided between a second end portion of the load receiving member and the fixing portion, and a screw bolt fixing the conductive member, the load receiving member and the first terminal on the fixing portion, so that the load receiving member is press-fixedly sandwiched by the conductive member and the first terminal so that an electric power flows therebetween via the load receiving member.

A cooling structure for an in-wheel motor includes an in-wheel motor mounted within a wheel of a vehicle to drive the wheel or to be driven by the wheel, and an oil channel and a fin serving as 'heat radiating portions' to facilitate cooling of the in-wheel motor. The in-wheel motor has a case serving as a 'housing'. The &#x201c;heat radiating portion&#x201d; is located apart from the case.

Cooling structure for in-wheel motor

Front left and right wheel units are driven by an engine and a motor generator. Rear left and right wheel units are independently driven by in-wheel motor type motor generators. The motor generator and the motor generator are configured to have different rated outputs, respectively, and be subjected to different speed reduction ratios, respectively, between the motor generators and their respectively associated drive wheel units, and thus have characteristics, respectively, in efficiency with respect to torque and vehicular speed, that exhibit high efficiency in mutually different output ranges, respectively. When a mileage oriented mode is selected as a traveling mode, an ECU determines how a drive torque should be allocated between the motor generators, as based on the motors' required drive torque and vehicular speed and on each motor generator's characteristic in efficiency, to maximize the motor generators' total efficiency.

Driving power control apparatus for four wheel drive vehicle

A breather device provided on the outer peripheral section of a case of an in-wheel motor is located at a position above the rotation shaft of the in-wheel motor, between the in-wheel motor and a wheel. The position is inside the wheel in the width direction of a vehicle.
