A molded resin product for use with an image forming apparatus includes: a base portion formed of a resin material; a positioning portion provided on the base portion; and a movable member formed by injection molding so as to be movable relative to the base portion. When the molded resin product is connected to a connection part, the positioning portion positions the molded resin product and the connection part relative to each other, and the movable member is contactable to a contact portion of the connection part.

A cartridge attachable to a main body of an image forming apparatus, the cartridge including a developer bearing member, a frame supporting the developer bearing member, a developing blade including a regulating member and a support member, and a collecting member. The collecting member includes a containing portion. The collecting member includes an opening opposing the developer bearing member. The containing portion extends in a rotational axis direction of the developer bearing member, and a sectional area of a longitudinal end portion area of the containing portion, orthogonal to the rotational axis direction, corresponding to a longitudinal end portion of the developer bearing member is larger than that of a longitudinal middle portion area of the containing portion.

A support member that supports an elastic member constituted of an elastic body contacting the surface of an image bearing member has a first surface that extends in a rotation axis direction of the image bearing member, and a second surface that includes a normal vector, which intersects with a normal vector of the first surface, and extends in the rotation axis direction. In the rotation axis direction, the first surface is fixed to two fixed portions of the frame, and a first vibration absorbing member is disposed between the two fixed portions so as to contact the frame and the first surface.

A process cartridge attachable/detachable to/from an apparatus main body of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus is configured such that the photosensitive unit and the development unit are coupled with each other at both ends in a direction parallel to a rotational center axis line of the photosensitive drum. Guide units are provided at one end of the photosensitive unit and at one end of the development unit, which are separated from each other when an external force does not work on the process cartridge. When the process cartridge is subjected to an impact in a direction in which the development roller approaches the photosensitive drum, the guide units are brought into contact with each other while the development unit rotates relative to the link member, and guide the development unit in a direction in which the development roller separates from the photosensitive drum.

An image forming apparatus includes a main assembly provided with an opening through which a cartridge is to be mounted, an openable member movable between a closed position and an open position, and a cartridge, including a portion-to-be-urged, detachably mountable to the main assembly in a mounting completion position. A remanufacturing method includes dismounting, from one end of a drum frame, a supporting member while rotatably supporting one end of a drum and a developing device frame; separating the two frames; dismounting the drum; mounting one end of a fresh drum to the other end of the drum frame; a refilling developer into a developer accommodating portion of the separated developing device frame; and swingably connecting the developing device frame and the drum frame by mounting the supporting member to one end of the drum frame, while rotatably supporting, by the supporting member, the one end of the drum of the drum frame to which the fresh drum has been mounted and swingably supporting the one end of the developing device frame to the developer accommodating portion of which the developer has been refilled, by the drum frame.
