The wave-transmitting cover comprises a transparent resin layer, a base layer and a decorative layer, and the decorative layer contains a lustered piece. The method for producing it comprises a film-forming step of forming a film that has a print face and a deposition design face formed thereon, a shaping step of shaping the film, a first molding step of molding one of a transparent resin layer or a base layer thereon to give a first molded part, and a second molding step of forming the other of the transparent resin layer or the base layer on a surface of the first molded part where the film is provided.

A reinforcing plate is overlaid with a decoration sheet with a first adhesive layer interposed, and heated and pressed to form first laminate. A surface of the decoration sheet in the first laminate is coated with a clear second adhesive layer of a liquid polyurethane resin, a surface of which in turn is overlaid with a clear film and heated and pressed to prepare a second laminate. The second laminate is placed within a mold and a resin is insert molded on the reinforcing plate in the second laminate. A clear hard coating is preferably formed on a surface of the second laminate in order to provide higher abrasion resistance.

Decorative article and process for producing the same

A decorative sheet is obtained by a process which comprises superimposing a reinforcing plate, a second hot melt adhesive sheet, a porous decorating sheet, a third transparent hot melt adhesive sheet, and a transparent film in sequence on a first hot melt adhesive sheet, and then subjecting the laminate to heat pressing. The decorative sheet is then inserted into the mold. A base resin is then injected onto the back side of the first adhesive sheet of the decorative sheet.

A coated molded article including a body of an olefin resin and finish coat of an acrylic urethane resin paint, the paint includes a modified acrylic polyol resin produced by copolymerizing an acrylic resin with a polar group-introduced polyolefin and an acrylic polyol resin. Particularly, coated molded articles of an olefin resin can be used as exterior components for automobiles (e.g. side molding, bumper, wheel cap, etc,), as well as exterior components for buildings. These exterior components are required to have physical properties as article such as weather resistance, abrasion resistance and the like, while maintaining an attractive appearance.
