According to the present disclosure, there is provided a sealing plate equipped with a gas discharge valve that reduces processing load and work hardening during molding. A gas discharge valve of a sealing platedisclosed herein has a flat plate-shaped base portion and a protruding portion protruding from a first surface of the base portion in a first direction, an annular thin-walled portion having a thickness smaller than the thickness of the protruding portion is provided around the protruding portion, and a first surface of the thin-walled portion is substantially on the same surface as the first surface of the base portion. In the gas discharge valve having the above configuration, the total amount of metal that is plastically deformed is reduced by limiting the formation region of the thin-walled portion to the periphery of the protruding portion.

At least a part of a first region between a lower end of a sealing part projected image and an upper end of a principal surface region projected image receives a pressure of a first surface pressure. At least a part of a second region between the upper end of the principal surface region projected image and a lower end of the principal surface region projected image receives a pressure of a second surface pressure. The first surface pressure is higher than the second surface pressure and is 1.5 MPa or more and 3.5 MPa or less. A height of at least a part of the first region receiving the pressure of the first surface pressure is 1 mm or more.

According to the present disclosure, a terminal with improved conduction reliability is provided. The terminal disclosed herein includes a first conductive member that has a plate shape, a second conductive member electrically connected to the first conductive member, and a first fastening portion and a second fastening portion that mechanically fix the first conductive member and a flange portion of the second conductive member. The second fastening portion is provided further toward a center side of the flange portion than the first fastening portion when seen in a plan view.

Terminal, secondary battery including same, and manufacturing method thereof

A secondary battery disclosed herein includes: an electrode body; a battery case; a terminal extracted from a terminal extracting hole to outside of the battery case; and an external conductive member joined to the terminal. The external conductive member has a through-hole into which a part of the terminal is inserted, and a joining portion between the external conductive member and the terminal is formed at a peripheral edge of the through-hole. The external conductive member has an approximately annular thin portion provided around the joining portion, and the thin portion is configured to melt when a current of 1000 A or more flows through the secondary battery.

A battery is provided in which an electrode tab group is hardly damaged. In the herein disclosed battery, an electrode body includes an electrode body main body part, a positive electrode tab group protruding from a first end part, and a negative electrode tab group protruding from a second end part. The positive electrode tab group and the negative electrode tab group are folded and bent to make tip ends of electrode tabs respectively configuring these tab groups be arranged along a second side wall of the battery case. A portion of the folded and bent electrode tab is joined to the electrical collector body of the same pole. The battery includes a spacer between the electrode body main body part and the second side wall, and the spacer is to regulate movement of the electrode body.

Disclosed here is a battery including: an exterior body having a bottom wall; and a winding electrode body in which positive electrode, negative electrode and separator are wound about a winding axis. The winding electrode body has a flat shape having a pair of curvature parts having a curved outside surface and a flat part that connects the pair of curvature parts to each other and has a flat outside surface. When a line perpendicular to the winding axis of the winding electrode body and perpendicular to the bottom wall of the exterior body is assumed as L1, a portion positioned at an outermost periphery of the negative electrode in at least one of the pair of the curvature parts faces a portion positioned on a winding inner peripheral side of the negative electrode via the separator and not via the positive electrode on the line L1.

A secondary battery herein disclosed includes an exterior body, a sealing plate, an electrode body, an electrode tab group, a terminal, and a collector. The collector has a first region part to be joined with the electrode tab group, a second region part to be joined with the terminal, and a third region part closer to the electrode body than the first region part.
