A battery includes an electrode body obtained by stacking a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate with a separator interposed therebetween, an exterior body having an opening and housing the electrode body, a sealing plate sealing the opening, and an external terminal attached to the sealing plate. A tab is provided at at least one of the positive electrode plate or the negative electrode plate, and is electrically connected to the external terminal via a current collector between the electrode body and the sealing plate. The tab is welded to the current collector. A covering member covers a welding point between the tab and the current collector.

Battery

A secondary battery includes an external terminal provided outside a sealing plate of an exterior body, a connection member provided inside the sealing plate and connected to the external terminal, a current collector connected to the connection member, and a current collector tab connected to an electrode body. The current collector has, along a longitudinal direction of the sealing plate, a first connection region connected to the current collector tab, a second connection region connected to the connection member, and a fuse region provided on a current path from the first connection region to the second connection region. In the longitudinal direction of the sealing plate, the first connection region is positioned inside the external terminal, and the fuse region is positioned at a position identical to a position of the external terminal or outside the external terminal.

Secondary battery

A battery includes: an electrode body obtained by stacking a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate with a separator interposed therebetween, the positive electrode plate including a first positive electrode tab group; an exterior body having an opening and housing the electrode body; a sealing plate sealing the opening: a positive electrode terminal attached to the sealing plate; and a substantially plate-shaped positive electrode current collector arranged substantially parallel to the sealing plate between the electrode body and the sealing plate and electrically connected to the positive electrode terminal. A positive electrode tab group of the electrode body is welded to a surface of the positive electrode current collector facing the electrode body, and a second tape covers an area corresponding to the back of a welding area of the positive electrode tab group on the surface of the positive electrode current collector facing the sealing plate.

A secondary battery includes a battery case housing a flat electrode body and a sealing plate. The electrode body is housed in the battery case such that a winding axis thereof is parallel with a longitudinal direction of the sealing plate. At an end portion of the electrode body in a winding axis direction thereof, an edge of a positive or negative electrode plate is connected to an external terminal fixed to the sealing plate through a current collector. An insulating pressing member is arranged between the sealing plate and the electrode body. The pressing member presses the electrode body in a direction perpendicular to the winding axis such that a distance between a portion of the electrode body contacting the pressing member and the sealing plate is longer than a distance between the end portion of the electrode body in the winding axis direction thereof and the sealing plate.

Square secondary battery

In this secondary battery in which an electrode body having a positive electrode tab group at one end thereof is accommodated in a battery case, a positive electrode terminal and the positive electrode tab group are electrically connected via a second positive electrode current collector, the positive electrode tab group is connected to a tab connection part of the second positive electrode current collector in a bent state, and a tape as a fixing means is attached across a first main surface of the electrode body-the tab connection part of the second positive electrode current collector-a second main surface of the electrode body.

Secondary battery and method of manufacturing same

A method of manufacturing a secondary battery including an electrode body element fabricating step in which a first electrode body element including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate, and a second electrode body element including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are fabricated, a tab-connecting step in which a first positive electrode tab group of the first electrode body element and a second positive electrode tab group of the second electrode body element are connected to a second positive electrode collector, and a first negative electrode tab group of the first electrode body element and a second negative electrode tab group of the second electrode body element are connected to a second negative electrode collector, and an electrode body fabricating step in which, after the tab-connecting step, the first electrode body element and the second electrode body element are unified.

Method of manufacturing square secondary battery

A battery includes an electrode body obtained by stacking a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate with a separator interposed therebetween, an exterior body having an opening and housing the electrode body, a sealing plate sealing the opening, and an external terminal attached to the sealing plate. A tab is provided at at least one of the positive electrode plate or the negative electrode plate, and is electrically connected to the external terminal via a current collector between the electrode body and the sealing plate. The current collector includes a first current collector and a second current collector. The first current collector and the second current collector are welded to each other at a welding point covered with a covering member.

A rectangular secondary battery including a sealing plate. The scaling plate has a first fitting recess that is nearer than a positive electrode terminal attachment hole to a center of the sealing plate and a second fitting recess that is nearer than the positive electrode terminal attachment hole to an end portion of the sealing plate. The first fitting recess and the second fitting recess are disposed at positions that are displaced from the center of the sealing plate in a transversal direction of the sealing plate. A first fitting protrusion and a second fitting protrusion of a second outer insulator are respectively disposed in the first fitting recess and the second fitting recess.

Rectangular secondary battery and assembled battery including the same

A conductive member () is disposed near a side of the sealing plate () facing the inside of a battery with a first insulating member () disposed therebetween. The conductive member () has a conductive-member opening portion () at a side facing the electrode assembly. An inserting portion () of a positive electrode terminal () is inserted through a third terminal-receiving hole () in the conductive member () and connected to the conductive member (). The conductive-member opening portion () of the conductive member () is sealed by a deformation plate (), and the deformation plate () is connected to a first positive-electrode current collector (), which is electrically connected to positive electrode plates. The conductive member () includes a pressing projection () that projects toward the first insulating member () from a portion thereof that faces the first insulating member ().

A rectangular secondary battery includes a rectangular casing that contains an electrode body, a sealing plate that seals an opening of the rectangular casing, a first positive electrode tab group that is composed of a plurality of positive electrode tabs, a positive electrode terminal that is attached to the sealing plate, a second positive electrode current collector that constitutes a positive electrode current collector member that is electrically connected to the first positive electrode tab group and the positive electrode terminal, and a second insulator. The second insulator includes a base portion that is disposed between the sealing plate and the second positive electrode current collector. The first positive electrode tab group is bent and connected to the second positive electrode current collector, the region being disposed along the sealing plate. A first wall portion is disposed between the first positive electrode tab group and the rectangular casing.

Rectangular secondary battery and method of manufacturing the same

Provided is a secondary battery in which an electrode body having a positive electrode tab group on one end thereof is accommodated in a battery case, wherein: a first positive electrode current collector comprises a first region disposed between a sealing plate and the electrode body, and a second region disposed between the electrode body and a first side wall of a rectangular exterior body constituting the battery case; the positive electrode tab group is connected in a folded state to a second positive electrode current collector; and the second positive electrode current collector is welded to the second region.

Secondary battery and method for manufacturing same

A secondary battery includes an electrode body configured such that a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are tacked on each other with a separator being interposed therebetween, an exterior body having an opening and housing the electrode body, a sealing plate sealing the opening, and an external terminal attached to the sealing plate. Tabs provided at the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate are electrically connected to the external terminal via a current collector arranged between the electrode body and the sealing plate. The current collector has a first connection portion connected to the tabs and a second connection portion with a fuse portion. The fuse portion is fused when overcurrent flows in the current path. A portion of the fuse portion facing the electrode body is covered with a fuse portion insulating member made of a material whose melting point is 200° C. or higher.

A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including first and second electrodes, an outer body having an opening and housing the electrode assembly, a conductive sealing plate sealing the opening, and a deformable member. The sealing plate has a first through-hole. The deformable member seals the first through-hole. When the opening of the outer body faces upward, a second electrode connecting member electrically connected to the second electrode is above the deformable member. A conductive conducting member is disposed between the second electrode connecting member and the deformable member. The diameter of the conducting member is larger than the diameter of the first through-hole. When the pressure inside the outer body becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined value, the deformable member is deformed and brings the conducting member into contact with the second electrode connecting member and electrically connects the sealing plate and the second electrode connecting member.

Secondary battery and secondary battery assembly

There is provided a prismatic power storage device having a reduced weight and ensuring a space for an electrode body that expands during charging, while the rigidity of an insulating sheet is ensured. A prismatic power storage device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: an electrode body () including a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and a separator disposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; an insulating holder () formed by shaping an insulating sheet () into a box shape and accommodating the electrode body (); a prismatic outer case having an opening and accommodating the electrode body () and the insulating holder (); and a sealing body sealing the opening of the outer case. The insulating sheet () includes a porous body.

Rectangular electricity storage device

A stacked secondary battery having an electrode body in which at least one positive and at least one negative plate are stacked, with a multilayered separator interposed, said separator including two porous layers of different materials; and an outer packaging case housing an insulating holder and an electrolyte together, said insulating holder housing the electrode body and being formed of overlapping sheets comprises an insulating material. The outer packaging case has a bottom surface, a plurality of side walls that are provided standing upright from the bottom surface, and an opening that is opposite from the bottom surface. In at least one separator, a section that is exposed from end surfaces of active material mixture layers and metal foil-comprising core bodies of the positive plate and the negative plate is in contact with the vicinity of a bottom line of a valley section that is formed from the sheet.
